The Matthews Campground

We stayed there for apx 6 months, my husband was working in the area. Nice place, quite in a wooded area. For those who can't get them to answer...Just keep trying they will, that's what I did and very glad of it. Nice place!

They must be closed down. Haven't answered the phone in days. Even tried to text the number in the website (as instructed) and they never responded.

I tried contacting them via text (as their website recommends), after two days of no response, I tried calling. I immediately got a text response stating to contact us via text (which I did again). Then I even tried messaging them through the website and STILL got no response Really???. It's amazing how some people "operate" a business. Hey, here's a suggestion Matthews, If you don't have any campsites or are closed just state that on the website or at least send a text back to the inquiring party stating that you don't' have any camp sites available. FAIL

So peaceful! Deer, wild turkeys, squirrels and so many birds! Beautiful and serene! Love it here!

Owners are very nice! RV lots are shaded, can not be seen from the road which makes it some what private. Quiet and out in the country yet close to everything. We love it here, hope to return when ever we are in the Raleigh area.

Great campground and working with Lisa is a breeze. They are very helpful and accommodating. It’s a small campground which means it’s very quiet which we appreciated. If you are looking for lots of activity in the park this is not your campground. It is very close to shopping. It is reasonably priced. We will be back.

I wish I could write something about my stay at The Matthew's Campground but I could barely for her time and that I am very flexible on staying there.. in return I got nothing nor anyone to answer my phone calls,text messages or emails. So finally I gave up when I was called back by the daughter in-law and made to feel like she was calling me on her day off and she was really too busy to talk because she was at a a very event and really didn't appreciate a call followed up by text and had to go. When I later got the shock from my face I sent her a text thanking her for her time. I litterly drove across the US pulling my 28ft 5th wheel to unprofessional rudeness with not a tad bit of more unprofessionalism. Thank goodness I found a place and I am happy. Not taking personal and hope you have better results than I did.
