While the grounds are very well kept, the showers/bathrooms appeared rarely cleaned. Hair in showers, spider webs in corners, etc made using them difficult for us.|It was mostly quiet which was a plus. Not sure we'd return due to the bathroom/shower experience.
Great stay on the edge of downtown. Great facilities that were clean with courteous staff and quiet neighbors. There is a heated pool, little miki golf course, pickleball court, dog park, fitness room, yoga room, small library, puzzles and board games, and community common room with a calendar of planned events. The fact you can walk right out the front of property and there is a nice path to the riverwalk to the left is fantastic. You are 4 miles away from the downtown riverwalk with the bars and restaurants, but you could either walk or rent a city bike like we did and be downtown in no time or visit the different national parks with helpful signs to the different historical sites. The riverwalk is my favorite part of San Antonio so proximity to it only helps the rest of the great things on the property shine. The smallest nitpicks is the WiFi is a little slow with not really an increase in speed if you pay for premium speeds. This is pretty common at all RV resorts though so nothing new. 5g is available on cell phone networks with better speeds as you are within city limits, so I just used that with no problem. Also missed having a dog washing station we’ve had at other RV resorts. Overall though one of the best spots on our trip by far so don’t let it deter you as we are planning to visit again in the future.
The fact that the River Walk was just next to us allowed for the convenience of biking into downtown or going to the Alamo. The pool and hot tub were in good condition and both very pleasant. We also had no problems with our mail and deliveries being sent to the office. The people working there were very experienced and helpful. The speed of a few long-term residents driving through the park was the only negative but I am not sure there is an easy fix for that problem.
We enjoyed our stay here. Nice RV sites and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s also centrally located – – only a few miles from the Alamo and the Riverwalk with an access trail to both for walking or biking. They also put on a very nice steak fry while we were there.
We have been there several times over the years, but the last 2 years we have had Thanksgiving with a great group of people. My friends and I looked at the clubhouse and found it to be very enjoyable. That was the first time I had checked it out, there are many things to do inside if it is cold, but they also have a pool & hot tub, mini golf, playground, pickleball and my dogs liked the dog park. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We have stayed at this park numerous times in the past, we love the fact that it sits on an opening to the Riverwalk Trail system. We made a reservation for early December to view the lights on the Riverwalk. Usually we reserve a pull through site. We have a membership to Passport America. I inquired about using our discount and were advised that the discount does not apply to pull through sites, only back in. So I made the reservation for a back in site. When we got there, we pulled into the smallest, tightest spot in the park. The park already knew the length of our rig, number of slide-outs and that we were towing a vehicle. Huge tree and barely enough space for our Jeep. The sewer was located on the correct side but the water and electric were on the passenger side of our motorhome. We had to run the water hose and electric cord under the RV. So be advised if you have any type of camping discount, you may be given the most undesirable site in the park.
