Stewart Creek Park and Campground

A total gem in the middle of the city. We were there for only an hour but it was a very relaxing experience. The access to the park is good and the facilities are well maintained. Meet 2 very nice ladies kayaking and they told us about rentals that is available.

Great for picnics, grilling or camping overnight. There is a volleyball area, basketball area and beach to enjoy or swim in. Cost is 40 per visit and various prices for camping and renting canoes or kayaks. Enjoy.

It used to be a fun place, but now it's filled with people playing loud music, neglecting their children, and leaving trash everywhere. The atmosphere only improves when the police arrive, but obviously officers aren't there all the time. SAD

Nice place. $15 entrance if you don't have membership.

They have added self service boat rental. The place remain crowded round the year.

I have lived in front of this park for 25 years. I propose to my wife 30 years ago on their dock. Then I built a house right in front of it 25 years ago. We have raised our two daughters at this location and it is safe clean and a real family park with great walking trails.
