If I could give this Resort 10 stars, I would! The concierges are extremely kind and attentive. Liz has the most wonderful personality! She also went out of her way to send a surprise bottle of champagne to the room for my birthday along with some treats and a birthday card. Her thoughtfulness is a direct reflection of the type of service this resort provides. She is now one of my favorite humans! Every single staff member looks happy to be working there. The prices are incredibly fair and the spa quickly became a favorite. Shoutout to Emily for the best facial I’ve ever had! The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It’s also super quiet which is a big plus! Will be visiting again very soon. I seriously cannot recommend it enough! Thank you Westin Carlsbad for making the stay extra special. You stole my heart and ran with it! 🙂

Very pleasant stay overall. The hotel offers a relaxing and well-maintained environment, with comfortable rooms, good amenities, and a generally high standard of cleanliness. The resort atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind, especially if you’re looking for something calm and polished. Staff were professional and helpful throughout the stay, contributing positively to the experience. Common areas and facilities are well designed and inviting. While the experience was very good, a few details could be improved to fully match the expectations of a top-tier resort — but overall, it remains a solid and enjoyable choice in the Carlsbad area.

Stayed at the Westin for two nights for family Legoland staycation. Originally booked at the Sheraton, but we were informed at Check In that our reservation was being transferred over to the Westin due to construction at the Sheraton. This caused a slight hiccup in our room reservation as our approved suite upgrade award didn't automatically transfer over. Front desk team was able to resolve the situation quickly and got us into an executive suite which served the same purpose for us that the Ponto Suite at the Sheraton would have. We continued to receive excellent service from the staff throughout our stay. Everyone from valet, the restaurant, housekeeping, and the front desk were warm and welcoming. Special thank you to Taryn for going above and beyond to make my boys feel special. The private back entrance to Legoland was a 5-7 minute straight shot walk out the front lobby. Served our needs great. Will plan on staying at the Westin next time we do this again.

Was a last minute quick one night trip. Rooms are a bit worn. Floor lamp and the other bed lamp didn’t work. The toilet paper holder was also broken, as it kept coming loose and then the toilet paper would fall to the floor. We were in the third floor so if you have a stroller or wheelchair the elevator going up does take awhile. Taking the stairs is faster unless you need wheels to get around then stairs are not an option. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked great with the view. We took advantage of the private entrance to Legoland to take the kids. For parking, since everyone had massive cars no one knew how to park between the lines and when we found a spot it was tight. When we arrive service was great but being a Westin was expecting a little better service when opening doors and gates and greeting, which didn’t occur in the latter part of the trip especially when you’re wrangling a toddler and using your card to also open a gate or door.

One of the most efficient check-ins I’ve had thanks to AJ. He went above and beyond. Only giving four stars because you have to add 30-40 dollars per night for parking. 👎🏼

Purchased a Day Pass as a reward for an employee. Beautiful property. I specifically called to inquire about the services (food & drink) was told there would be pool service. There was none. Kept being told the time was changing for the opening of pool restaurant. It never opened, then missed the main restaurant hours. After asking several different front desk employees, we were finally offered a couple menu options from the main restaurant. Definitely disappointing. I could of went to a mediocre facility paid less with the expectation of not having any pool side service.

I worked with Luciana to coordinate our 2-day business meeting offsite last month for our tech company. It was such a pleasure working with her and she made sure all was set and prepared logistically. We also enjoyed wonderful lunches outdoors at the restaurant onsite. Everything was very clean and staff was very accommodating to our needs even if last minute request. Our event ran very smooth from start to finish. I’d highly recommend business meetings here! They have so much meeting room space - it’s incredible 🙂
