Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara

📍 Gay-friendly spas in Las Vegas

3.0

Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara offers a relaxing retreat with a mix of high-quality services and occasional inconsistencies. The massage treatments vary—some guests praise the expertise of therapists like Sheila or Lindsey, who tailor pressure and techniques to individual needs, while others note interruptions or mismatched expectations. The clean, well-maintained spa provides a welcoming atmosphere, though minor issues like equipment malfunctions or overlooked details can detract from the experience.

As part of the iconic Planet Hollywood Resort, the spa benefits from the hotel’s prime location and amenities, including a comfortable stay with convenient access to dining, shopping, and entertainment. While the overall experience leans toward satisfaction, attention to continuity—such as transparent pricing and seamless service—could elevate it further. Ideal for those seeking a blend of luxury and relaxation, it remains a solid choice with room for refinement.

Not the best experience. Got the 50 min Foot remedy massage which includes feet, legs, hand, shoulder and scalp massage. The massage was fantastic, however I def only actually got maybe 35-40 min of actual hand on skin massage. She would massage for a few minutes and then go to the counter for something every few minutes. The massage didn’t flow well due to that. And she never touched my hands at all. They overcharged me for the massage, due to "holiday weekend" but were not up front and transparent about the price increase at booking. They did adjust at my request as well as give me $10 off due to the massage not including the hand part. The spa itself is very clean and very nice, but I am not sure I would go back.

I stayed in their 2 queen bed room with a view of the strip. At check-in, we had a very helpful employee get us checked in early with a late check out. He remembered us at checkout and made sure we had a great time. The housekeeping staff were incredibly kind and sweet. They wouldn't touch the tip left in my room until I chased them down and gave it to them. The bed was very comfortable. I had a shower and a very nice deep tub, which was awesome for my tired body after so much walking every day. The hall and casino carpets are in serious need of cleaning or replacement. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. We were right in the heart of the strip. Everything was in walking distance. There are 2 Starbucks in Planet Hollywood. There is a huge mall attached with plenty to see and do. There is also a Walgreens right around the corner.

I went here for a hot stone massage that included hand/feet paraffin wax treatment and had a wonderful experience. My masseuse was Sheila and she was so great. She asked great questions on my problem areas, she was super friendly and accommodate my preferences for pressure, heat, and even the scent in the room. The paraffin treatment was perfect, given how dry my skin has felt. This was the perfect way to start the day. I definitely would go back.

Jacuzzi jets didn't work. Rolled towels for use were a mess. Steam room out of order. No shared pool for my husband and I to share. Showers were dirty. I posted one of the shower heads. Messy storage rooms open for guests to see. Only plus was the lady at the front desk was very nice, when she was at the front, which was hardly ever. Luckily a day pass was free with hotel stay. Would be more upset if I had to pay to use. This hotel is wonderful though! But don't recommend the spa.

This has been one of the best massages I’ve had in Vegas so far. Lindsey was my massager on a Sunday morning and she really made me feel so much better. As a lash artist I hunch over a lot and sit very stationary, and she took all that into consideration as I received my massage. I can honestly say even though it’s been almost two weeks since I saw her, it has helped me in my day-to-day comfort even now. Their spa was very nice and clean, though there is no spinner to de-water your bathing suit after using the spa/hot tub and sauna’s. The wet sauna was broken when I arrived, so only the dry sauna was working. The front desk was also really sweet and made us feel very welcome and pampered. Next time I go to Vegas, I’ll be sure to visit this Spa again for sure and enjoy their amenities!

Was excited to try the spa and booked a massage. Truthfully, as someone who travels a bit and has been to more than my fair share of spas this one wasn’t the best or worst. The biggest downside for me was the massage therapist not LISTENING to me. She was super friendly and did the massage but as someone who can stand a fair amount of pressure the pain I felt during this massage bordered on ridiculous. I asked for medium pressure which honestly felt like a deep tissue sports massage. I mentioned it hurt and to lighten a bit and she said ok then proceeded to continue with the same deep painful prodding. I mentioned several times that the pressure was too much and though she replied she continued to press like I was there for deep muscle therapy and not relaxation. Several times the pain got so intense my body would jerk suddenly and she’d day sorry then return to assaulting the same spot over again. After the massage finally ended she put my robe across my body and asked me to fill out the tip portion of the tab on the counter and said "I’ll be waiting outside the door". I have never felt so rushed out of a room in my life. I dressed quickly and left, opting for some Advil when I got back to my room. A couple hours later my back legitimately felt bruised and the relaxation I’d been seeking never came. Honestly the experience was not worth the money I spent.
