To be clear, this is not a spa. This is people giving massages in hotel rooms. Maybe it used to be a spa, but as of 12/28 it is not. My husband had gifted me with a massage treatment, which I was really looking forward to as I only treat myself to a massage like once a year. When we checked in at the Peabody, I went to the spa to see if there might be an appointment available to get my husband a facial or a massage as well. The spa has apparently moved locations from where they were and are now on the 3rd floor, and the beautiful pool, sauna, amenities, etc. that make it a spa are no more. Also, the hours listed on their website are incorrect and there's not even a sign on the counter when you step off the elevator differentiating it as the spa vs a conference room. I was never offered a water, a mimosa, any refreshment either before or after my service. For the service itself, I was taken from the 3rd floor spa to a suite on the 11th floor that was next to a room with a screaming child. The service was also scheduled to be for 60 min. He came to get me at 350pm, probably started at 4pm, and I was leaving the room at 444pm. He only rubbed my back and the back of my legs, doing no front of leg or front of arm work, and I feel today like I did not have a massage at all. For a spa in a hotel as nice as the Peabody I definitely expected a lot more.
The Peabody is our favorite staycation. We love to go a few times a year and have a nice dinner downtown, dance at Rumba room, book a couples massage at Feathers and stay the night. Ismael is the best and I always ask for him when we go, but they are all excellent there. Beautiful facility, complimentary champagne and great service. Love it!
We had an appointment and they had an issue with flooding which is not a problem other than the fact that no one called me so completely wasted my time and then we had to stand a wait an entire half an hour to wait for our car. I have frequented this spa countless times and the decline in service is alarming. We don’t have any other decent spas in Memphis so maybe just skip until you go to a better place. Do not recommend
I received a certificate for a massage here. Not only was my massage SO good, but the services and products they offer are exquisite. Very great experience and I highly recommend!!
Not great for groups larger than 2 people. I came here over the holidays with my sisters and while everyone was very nice and helpful, they completely lost my sister’s 90 minute massage appointment that she had been looking forward to for weeks. This happened despite having a confirmation email and calling the spa the morning of our appointment and confirming our relatively large booking. They comp’ed her facial but it was still very disappointing. I won’t be back. Their gym was also kind of dirty.
We recently went to Feathers Spa for our 15th anniversary evening getaway. The atmosphere was super relaxing. The champagne while we were waiting for our massages was a nice touch and the massage itself was just what my wife and I needed to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!
If I could rate them higher than a 5, I would. I'm local and try to make it in every quarter for a facial. Last week, I combined a massage, a facial, and the new Vichy shower. My experience is never short of amazing. This is truly my favorite place in Memphis. The atmosphere is top-notch, and the service is always phenomenal. Of course, the complimentary mimosas are a fantastic addition. I spent the whole day there and ordered lunch between services. I always request Daeva for my facial. She is so educated and has given me so many tips to improve my skincare over the years, and it has made a world of difference. This is the best spa in Memphis. I highly recommend booking a service.
