Club Cal Neva
Club Cal Neva stands as a nostalgic Reno staple, blending retro charm with a welcoming, no-frills atmosphere. Known for its affordable American fare, the Top Deck restaurant offers hearty dishes like prime rib, complemented by friendly service and reasonable pricing. The casino retains its classic appeal, though its aged decor and modest facilities reflect its long-standing history rather than luxury.
Ideal for casual outings, the venue embraces a laid-back vibe, where accessibility and warmth take precedence. While security and maintenance could see improvements, the overall experience remains inviting, especially for those seeking authenticity over modern glamour. A hidden gem for locals and visitors alike, it delivers solid value with a touch of Reno’s enduring character.

They are doing their best at this little casino in the best little town! Prime rib lobster tail combo is a delicious meal at an affordable price served by engaged staff. Dinner could be updated to 2026 lighting and paint but retro is always in fashion. Good job everyone.
This isn't a high-class casino like GSR or Atlantis, in fact, its one of the oldest, run-down casinos in Reno. On the other hand, its a good place to go when you don't feel like putting on anythings special to wear or make-up! Its a 'come-as-you-are' type pkace; everyone is equally welcomed. Their security leaves a lot to be desired. The 'Top Deck' restaurant serves good 'ol American fare at decent prices and the penny slots are a good way to gamble when you're broke but still want to gamble!
Boughta two thousand eleven, jeep wrangler about a year and a half ago.I've done nothing but dump money into it over. And over and over and again, it's at the mechanic shop.Needing a front axle replacement. That's another five thousand dollars.I would never recommend this place. They are garbage people. They don't care about you.All they want is your money. Bought, for $16000, and I put easily 8 to 9000 dollars, back into it. A terrible business ethics and terrible people. I will definitely do my best to make sure nobody else buys from them.Just garbage people that don't even deserve to live.
Yesterday I couldn't find the entrance to the restaurant. Today, a nice guy led me to use the lift to the restaurant, which is located on the 3rd floor. Although the decorations seem to be obsolete versions, I felt warm with the preservative service. The taste of food is perfect. The price is very reasonable and valuable for money. Here is worth to come again. Please forget what I felt yesterday.
Same Cal Neva since dawn of days. Cept? No mo Virginian tower. Boooooo! No rooms at all whatsoever under their name? Noooooo! They prolly (read; most likely) still have delish beyond all measure dish. IDK . .
Club Cal Nevada is a gem. It is old but the throwback theme is purposeful. Anyone from Reno adores the Neva the way it is and for good reason. Don't come here expecting dazzle and newness...come here expecting worn down and old and embrace it! Great prices and great atmosphere if you can embrace that that's the way it is left intentionally! Oh and BTW...thank you guys for letting our toddler use the garage or one of your parking garage walls as a chalk board to learn his ABC's after our meal in your restaurant (which mind you was great and the prices were even better!!) You're the best!!!
Had a really good time here! Simple American food, at really good prices. Fast friendly service. I came upon this place by asking a local, that was shoveling the snow and ice off of the sidewalks. I asked for a simple breakfast place. Nothing fancy, he told me to go there...great prices, good grub... Thanks random guy!
