This place sucks. They gave me a dirty room with slept in sheets. (Pic below, this is what the room looked like when I entered). No wifi. Their entire registration is shut down and there’s not directional signage. Elevators out of service for 20-something floors. There’s no parking. Room is fine but sheets are tough and hard. They did not seem remorseful or surprised that they gave me a dirty, slept-in room. Stay elsewhere, I’m sure literally anywhere else you’ll have a better experience. For the price, it’s absolutely not worth the experience. The rooms are super basic/cheap as well, I could’ve stayed at regular Marriott and had an equivalent room, there’s nothing special here.

Comfortable stay overall. The room felt clean and updated, and the bed was genuinely comfortable, which made it easy to rest after a long day. The lobby and common areas were well-kept, and the layout works nicely whether you’re here for a quick trip or an event. Staff were polite and helpful when needed, though service timing could be a little inconsistent depending on the moment. Good location and a solid option if you want a reliable, straightforward stay.

This historic hotel has been well maintained and speaks highly of its management and team who obviously take pride in their work. All the staff I encountered throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my nice clean spacious room with a great view. The club lounge was inviting with warm comfy decor, a little office nook, and some great well stocked snack and drink options. The morning hot breakfast choices were spot on and the friendly hostess kept the lounge at its best 24/7. I would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely book again in the future.

Spent a night here and came away pretty happy with it. The room looked recently updated and felt comfortable, especially the bed. It was easy to settle in, and having food, drinks, and coffee options close by made the stay more convenient. The hotel also seems well set up for business travel or events with plenty of meeting space. Service wasn’t always consistent, but everyone was polite and helpful, and the stay was enjoyable overall.

Stayed at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento during their renovation era (think spa day for buildings), and I’ve got to hand it to the staff.. they’re basically holding the fort together with smiles and good vibes. The place might have a few construction hiccups, but the service team deserves a standing ovation for how they’re managing it. Special shoutout to Enrique Gonzalez.. absolute legend.. who went above and beyond to reunite me with my Apple Watch. He tracked it down, coordinated with me like an air traffic controller, and made sure it made it back safely. In a world where lost gadgets usually vanish into the abyss, Enrique restored my faith in both hospitality and humanity. Bottom line: yes, it’s under renovation, but the heart of this hotel is fully operational and it beats with the kind of service you rarely find anymore. Five stars for the people, especially Enrique, who’s clearly running on superhero energy.

I was here for a conference, so it was convenient to stay in the same hotel. It was my first time in Sacramento and staying at the Sheraton was pretty central. It was walking distance from the state capitol park, a city-size Target, various restaurants, and a theater. The hotel has a 24/7 fitness center, accessible with key card. The pool, which you can see from the fitness center, is currently closed. My assigned room with king bed was rather spacious, though it was odd the TV was not directly lined up with the bed. I was surprised that the showerhead in the bathroom had strong pressure. And the environmentalist in me was happy to find the bathroom stocked with full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, rather than the small travel size toiletries that end up taking space in the trash. Internet is $14.95 per day, but complimentary if you're a Bonvoy member. No problems during my one night stay.

The renovation is LOVELY, however this hotel is woefully underprepared for the conventions and tour groups that they regularly host. The line for the elevator was over 30 minutes long at multiple times during my short stay. Considering the surrounding area is apocalyptic the hotel needs to do much better at making the inner workings perfect to retain guests.
