Chaminade Resort & Spa

I stayed here with my wife for two night over a weekend. It was a very relaxing experience. Located in deep forest, it is very quiet and air was so fresh. This resort is equipped with everything - pool, hot tub, a large scale fitness center, tennis court... They even offer adult only pool and hot tub and I really liked it! The food quality was good and reasonably priced. The staff members were all courteous. The facility is a little bit outdated but, considering the location, price, and line of services offered, I strongly recommend this place.

Paid $260 after taxes through their website. Honestly pretty upset that our bed was so cheap, the bedding was horrendous (polyester) and mattress was worse than most motels. We asked for a late checkout due to time change saved they couldn’t tell us if we could get it we had to call to know the next day. They legitimately didn’t even fully paint the bathroom door all the way, you can see the primer. Rooms had very bizarre decor, almost pediatric doctors office. The king room came with 2 free drinks vouchers (up to $17 each) for the restaurant. The drinks were great, and recommend the truffle fries. Service does take some time, but it’s a beautiful view outside when the sun is going down. Bedding & towels were clean. They provided 2 water bottles complementary in the mini fridge in our room. Decently long pool hours, closed at 10 pm, didn’t get to experience the pool area. Same with the gym, decent hours as well. Staff generally very nice and capable. Location of the hotel is in a beautiful area and a 10 minute drive from downtown SC, which is convenient. Please keep in mind any spa service is at least $250, and has a required (included 20% tip).

Positive: Location, amenities Negative: Made specific requests for house keeping, multiple times, on phone, in oerson at front desk that was not resolved and wasted personal leisure time waiting and having to purchase what was needed tgat was supposed to ne provided. Room had a bad smell.

We were driving through California and stopped at chaminade for the night. It was a beautiful resort with a lot of amenities. One of the best on site gyms I've seen. We did have an issue with our sink but their amazing maintenance man, Miguel came up to save the day. He was so personable and good at his craft. Great service by the front staff as well! Would definitely recommend this place.

The resort was very nice. We also got massages at the spa and a facial. Those were wonderful. The facial was definitely worth it. I got the hydra facial and it made my skin look and feel so amazing. I'm horrible with names. I wish I could remember the names of the two ladies that did my services but everyone there was so nice and went above and beyond rooms were very clean and comfortable. Their robes were great that you got to use while you were there. Definitely no complaints about this place. Can't wait to go back me and my husband were there celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary on New Year's Day. Even with a storm in the rain it couldn't have been more perfect

Have no idea why this place isn’t at least 4.7 stars!! It’s such an adorable clean, and beautiful resort with so many activities, entertainment, and events/activities every day for free at the hotel. Has a great spa and gym, multiple pools and hot tub tubs, the rooms are very clean and rustically modern in design. The staff are very kind and helpful and the grounds are absolutely beautiful with multiple hiking trails, tennis and Pickleball to name a few. They have bocce ball Adirondack chairs, fire pits. It really is a beautiful resort might not be the Ritz Carlton, but for Santa Cruz and it’s location it’s exceptional. Don’t forget to have a meal at the View restaurant it has that name for a reason!

The Chaminade Spa puts you into relaxation the minute you walk in. I suggest getting into the robe and slippers before your spa service, ready to get on the massage table. I had the Signature massage with Karen who is the most loving presence whose warmth puts you at ease from the start, but don’t let that gentle nature fool you. She disassembled every bit of my tension released every bit of my stress and strains. This was a phenomenal massage. My Gratitude. After, I enjoyed a luxurious shower, got into the hot tub and enjoyed the steam room. I was energized and hiked the Blue Trail then got breakfast. What an amazing experience. 10 Stars
