Waldo Strange, LMT

Waldo is great! They are kind and have a nice energy. This was my second professional massage so I was nervous on what to expect. Waldo was very informative and helpful throughout. I enjoyed my massage experience especially since they did a great job working on my muscles. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend!

My experience with Waldo was a great first impression! I have little/no knowledge or experience with massages, but I am a string player and hold all my tension in my neck and shoulders (also bc of bone spurs on my vertebrae). Waldo worked out my shoulder tension in such a way that i could feel the change as it was happening! They were very professional and I felt that they genuinely cared about how I felt, my experience, and how they could continue to help after my session. They work out of their apartment and had a nice cozy setup separate from their living space and a sweet puppy as well! Would definitely recommend!

Waldo is an excellent massage therapist! They focus on deep tissue massage, and they are knowledgable about how to target pretty much anywhere on the body. I've been seeing them for over a year now and I always walk away feeling much looser than before, being able to stand up taller with less pain. It's nice to get to be a regular, as Waldo pretty much knows my problem areas and will hit those even if I ask for something different on a given day. They work out of their DC apartment, and though it's not like a traditional spa or massage parlor, I find the environment homey and relaxing, given the comfy massage table, nice heating, and soft lighting. I'm very glad to be able to go to Waldo with all my muscle tension (of which I have plenty). I definitely recommend their services!

Had my first massage with Waldo today. They did such a great job, pretty much all of the tension I’ve been holding in various places has been relieved. Felt really great afterwards. Plan to go back for sure. They were very professional and made sure to get information about areas of concern/tension. Would definitely recommend.

Waldo is great! I was managing some post-COVID muscle fatigue symptoms when I came to them for a massage. They were extremely thorough in the pre-massage consultation, getting information on where the pain was located and what work we wanted to do in the session. Their work really helped relieve some major tension I had in my neck and upper back, and I felt comfortable and listened-to throughout the process!

As a former massage therapist who has also had quite a many massages, I can easily say that Waldo is among the most talented I have ever received work from. His myofascial release work has released trigger points for me that physical therapists had labored over for months. Beyond his remarkable talents, he's a friendly, kind person- easy to trust immediately and as you get to know him as a therapist. Five stars aren't enough!
