Positive: The room was spacious for our family Negative: Had an odd smell of humidity, possibly mold. The carpet looked super old. Arcade room also had a very off old smell

We had our reunion at the Lux Hotel over the weekend, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff took such wonderful care of us and made sure everything went smoothly. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and the spaces were just right for our group to relax and reconnect.||A special thank you to the entire team for their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. You helped make our reunion so memorable, and we are truly grateful.

While cost effective, you can tell this hotel is under new management and they are cutting corners instead of maintaining the luxury it once possessed. Desolate lobby, no music, just a small 48" TV running a local sports channel. There should an inviting wait area, multiple screens, cucumber and lemon water stations, something to invite guests to hangout there. Some character 🤷🏽‍♀️. The hallway and room rugs need to be deep cleaned to remove strong odors, if not completely replaced, which is costly, but necessary. The bathroom tubs are extremely high for most to step up into. They need to be lower, dangerous. Touch-up paint jobs residual in bathroom, refrigerator needed to be cleaned, outside and around base. Would be best to use Clorox & Lysol products. Some sheets have spots, need to spot check all linens and use safe bleaching agents. Scotch guard the one upholstered chair in the room. Do not disturb placards needed, so housekeeping knows not to knock. Dirty floors by the ice machine and no visitor information available in rooms. We did not attempt to experiment with any spa amenities as overall it felt like a motel. Lastly, the in-room television reception was spotty (see video). So much potential if the investment is made.

Excellent. Michelle at the front desk was amazing, very friendly. Made us feel at home and was very clear about cost and everything. Would stay again.

First off when we arrived we had 2-rooms for the cotton bowl. Got there early and asked were we able to check in early. They said we could for a fee. Got into the room and immediately seen 2 roaches, the room smelled and wasn’t very clean. I’m not one to complain so we just bit our tongue. We will not be staying there again.

We stayed at the Lux Hotel in Arlington this past weekend through Priceline, and overall the stay was good. The hotel itself is huge and nicely maintained. The double bedrooms aren’t very spacious, but they’re fine if you don’t plan on spending much time in them beyond sleeping and light socializing. The beds were clean and very comfortable, though the carpet could use an update. The in-room refrigerator didn’t get super cold but it kept our water cool enough. One disappointment was the "continental breakfast" that was advertised. After getting my grandchildren up and ready early, we went downstairs only to find out there was no breakfast—just coffee, tea, and water. For the price, I do feel breakfast should have been included. On a positive note, there’s a restaurant and bar inside the hotel that’s convenient in the evenings. It seemed to have a lively atmosphere every night, though not ideal for families with small kids. The outdoor pool area was a highlight—very nice, 3 to 4 feet deep, with plenty of cabanas and space to relax whether you’re traveling with children, friends, or solo. The front desk service was the one area that didn’t meet my expectations. The staff weren’t rude, but they didn’t smile or make much eye contact, and their tone was very monotone when asked questions. There’s also a small store/gift shop on-site which was convenient. Overall, it’s a nice hotel for the price, but I think the experience would be much better if breakfast were included and the customer service felt a bit more welcoming.

We booked this room only because it was last-minute and it was close to the Stadium for the Cotton Bowl. We were also cool with staying here because it was a Wyndham hotel, and I knew they had been buying properties and upgrading them recently. I didn't think that our room was going to be so bad. The customer service people were very nice; they let us check in early and gave us a credit after most of the things in our room stopped working. We stayed for two days from the 30th to New Year's Day. So let's go to the good: Location, location Bar inside the hotel The bad The rooms are old and dated. The hotel smells musty and moldy. The heater in our room did not work; it only blew cool air, never hot. It was pretty cold during New Year's. The fridge was not cold at first, but when I turned it up, it froze all my food. There was no in between for it. It was also dirty. The shower was dirty, and the ceiling was peeling. The handle was about to come off the shower. The beds were hard, and the pillows had been washed so much that I put my elbow under my head on one, and it ripped. They were plastic-covered at one point, but that was all old. The hotel was empty while we were there. The bar was opened for New Year's with a 15-dollar cover charge to get in, which did not include drinks. All in all, the only reason to stay at this hotel is that it is cheap and close to the stadium. Do not expect anything other than that.
