Insignia Hotel Brooklyn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

First of all, this is not a five-star hotel, this is a five-star review. The value for the money is high, great access to chinatown, and the parking with an elevator to the rooms with in and out privileges was what we got the room for in the first place. Breakfast was small but a good assortment of pastries, bread and juice with some yogurt and fruit as well. 24 hour coffee and tea.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was a great way to start the day. Onsite parking was very convenient and reasonably priced. Room was small but comfortable and had everything you needed. Nice touch was that our room was made up during our 2 night stay, something we haven’t had since the pandemic. Would definitely stay again. Neighborhood was very busy and safe.

We had a lovely stay, everyone at the hotel was so nice! Living in NJ, it's a convenient location for us, easy access to and from the BQE. The parking was so convenient, with access by elevator from the hotel. The hotel and the parking were not cheap, but very reasonable for New York City, and we love Brooklyn Chinatown, very colorful. Subway to Manhattan is OK. I understand that the minimalism helps keep the cost down. That works for me! Next time we come to NYC, we will certainly stay with you again.

We had a great stay at the insigna, first of all check in is open till late , we arrived around midnight. Rooms are big, breakfast i didnt try it but my brother said its ok to fill up in the morning , the staff was polite and nice . Room was clean but while mopping they should do it better but im maniac ... lol ...neighborhood : chinatown safe a lot of restaurants too bad garages everywhere but at least no zombies 😉 ....sincerely i will come back again.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We needed lodging near Staten Island but still accessible to the city. This hotel was perfect. Our room was extremely clean. The room was small, but spacious enough for two. The shower had excellent hot water and water pressure. I love the zero waste focus with the toiletries. All the staff we interacted with were lovely. Breakfast is not fancy, but there’s enough to tide you over to avoid getting hangry haha. I felt very safe in this hotel. I researched some others that were a bit cheaper but they were just too dodgy for me. This neighborhood is working class and super busy especially around the subway. The hotel guests were lots of families and some couples. Totally normal clientele from what I saw.

My husband and I stayed at the Insignia hotel for three nights and four days. We Appreciated the real wheelchair, accessible room, with roll-in shower and grab bars by the toilet. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning, where we were able to eat cheese danishes, bananas, oatmeal, and have some coffee. The staff is so friendly and kind, we got a chance to talk with Wendy. The hotel is located in Chinatown in Brooklyn, which means it’s surrounded by Delicious, authentic Chinese food. The hotel is also super close to a wheelchair accessible subway station that can take you all around the city! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Insignia hotel!

Such a fun location, this is steps from the N-line in the middle of Chinatown where you're surrounded by great restaurants and hear more Mandarin than English in the streets and businesses. You're also only 15 minutes walk from some great Irish bars with long history. Downsides: No gym. Breakfast is minimal but still a nice perk. Mattress has definitely seen better days, lopsided and sagging in the middle. Otherwise the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is superb.
