Union Hotel Brooklyn

Didn't know if it was a closet or a room, surprisingly a bed and bathroom was there so I guess it was a room. Room to small, not even a chair could fit. I didnt bother looking in the tiny...sorry mini fridge. Place is for you if looking for small and to the point room but if you're not.... theres a possibility you will!!!!!! Had to shimmy between the bed and wall to get to other side of the bed SMH.

It's basically down the block from the train station so it's very convenient but the room is extremely small, smaller than the closet

Cheaper than most places. Nice colors, friendly staff 2 beds nice bathroom. Love it

This place is a crap hole. I paid 209$ for one night. The floors were wet in the bathroom and slimy . The bed is awful like sleeping on a brick box. This place felt like a dirty hostel in India. Smells like an elephants cage everywhere. Dirt in all the corners of the room. I could not relax at all.

Way too small room with a great bed. Broken coffee maker. Shower neefs upgrading, water trap comes loose when stepped on, replace shower curtain with a glass door.

I booked this online as Union Hotel, When I got here, they changed the name to " Essenes Hotel." If I ever come back to Brooklyn, I would never stay here. The rooms are small as hell! No frig, no microwave, no ice machine, not even a vending machine. The bed was hard, but the TV was great. Had a desk in the room that didn't work, plus it didn't have a chair to sit.

Last minute my friend and I decided to spend the night in Brooklyn. After a few phone calls this was one of the few hotels with available rooms at a reasonable price. Great location, however the entire hotel needs some upgrading. Upon entering the hotel the receptionist was clearly under the influence of something, but who am I to judge? We finally got to the room, as soon as we put our food on the table it came off the wall onto the floor. I had to support it to prevent the food from hitting the ground. Then there were obvious stains on the bed sheet, so I called the receptionist about the table and when he left I followed him downstairs for an extra towel and extra sheet. The towels were old, pillows flat and the pillow case had cigarette burns! The TV never came on and the air conditioning was malfunctioning ended up blowing cold air in the winter. Bottom line, I was embarrassed I took someone’s daughter to such a place. I couldn’t tell you how they are still in operation!
