I'm not sure why the negative reviews. I stay in dozens of hotels a year, and this one is very nice! Plus: REALLY comfy beds, modern and CLEAN room, plenty of outlets, plenty of lights, super convenient and connected to the convention center. I like the concrete floors, they are CLEAN and with rugs and slippers absolutely fine. I like the keyless entry too, though I understand it's not for everyone. Comfy linens, cool modern design. Nice views. Minus: The sliding door on the bathroom kept coming off the slider and was heavy and dangerous for a small lady like me to try to maneuver. Needs to be secured so it cannot fall. Wish there was a phone in the room. (And Bible, lol.) Medium: Breakfast was adequate. The hotel is obviously a work in progress. They are going in the right direction. Oh, and I think the lobby is beautiful.

This hotel is finding its way from a transition from being a crown Plaza. Lobby is quite nice, rooms are OK (showers aren't great). Good bed and temperature control. Kind of cheaped out on the cable, none of the channels I usually watch on business trips were available. No daily housekeeping, no real check in desk (its all selfcheck in and QR codes) which was wearying as a business traveller. QR readers weren't very good. No response to issues mentioned in the mid stay satisfaction survey. Event rooms were ridiculous, very old and ceilings falling in. The sundries shop is kind of ridiculously high end for no good reason. (Foie Gras potato chips? $8 single source chocolate bars?) Because the experience is definitely NOT high end. Only one elevator worked. Nothing super horrible (aside from some sticky substance on the toilet when I arrived and black hair stuck to the shower wall) but just a lot of stupid annoying stuff which comes from terrible management decisions.

If this is the future of hotels, I may no longer travel. I was in Dayton for a small convention over at the Dayton Convention center that I attend every November. When I heard the new connected hotel was reopening, I was excited for the convenience. The rooms had nice fixtures, but it was sparse. There was no carpet or flooring, just concrete which created a weird lip stepping into the bathroom. The shower was odd, half an immovable glass wall, half open, but rather than a walk-in, it was a tub you had to step in to, Weirdly, the sprinkler was in the shower so if there was a fire, the glass would likely prevent the water from putting it out. The QR codes are interesting but I had a little trouble getting them to scan sometimes but they were nice overall, as was using it for the garage in/out. I only saw a few staff and they were friendly. But, I had put the door hanger to please clean the room and restock toiletries but over several days, I didn’t receive it at all. I guess I was also supposed to text. Which was another weird thing: everything is done by text. I’m all for apps and technology, but having to text everything, and the few times I did text, it took them awhile to respond. Breakfast was the worst part, I read several reviews that raved about the breakfast, and said they had the best bacon ever, breakfast all 3 days was a breakfast burrito you could get with or without bacon, some granola bars that weren’t the freshest, a small selection of fruit, bottles of water or juice and little cups of yogurt. As of right now, I can see some potential with the place, but it still has a ways to go before I stay there again

This is a new hotel in a very old space. they are trying very hard to do a great job and it’s almost there but you can only do so much with old bones. lobby is lovely. no onsite dining. staff is very small but very attentive. rooms are freezing cold. wall heater blows hot air at your head while you sleep. beds are comfy. bathrooms are tiny. so close Vitality but not quite there.

My spouse and I traveled to Dayton for an event at the Convention Center. I originally booked elsewhere, but when saw there was a hotel attached to the DCC I booked here. I regret it 100%. 1. I can't read text messages well, and I don't appreciate the "all digital vibe". I am obviously not their target audience. 2. The QR code for key was interesting, but only seeing 4 staff members in 48 hours was not welcoming (although the two did amazing to try to make up for it). 3. I asked for ADA compliant room as we have mobility issues and a parking placard because of it. Getting into/out of the tub was very difficult. No parking for ADA near the hotel was another big no. Don't get me started on the lighting and the bedframe - yuck! 4. Access to the parking structure and the DCC has to be on the ground floor. There is a skywalk, but the elevator is locked to get between the hotel and the skywalk. 5. Like others have mentioned, the breakfast was a joke. I ended up with an apple for breakfast. Not exactly the best way to start your day. Oh, and no microwave, only a glowing blue mini fridge right inside the door. Only saving grace was the distance to the DCC. We'll be going to the same event in 2026 most likely, but won't stay here.

We’re staying at the hotel on a convention cheer competition weekend. Attempted numerous times to reach someone within the hotel customer service regarding my reservation with no response. 2-3 Elevators were not in service with lots of traffic and with very high floor levels stairs were not an option. After leaving room for several hours were automatically checked out of our room before our check out time, and maids were cleaning our room where we were planning to return. After mentioning this to them no explanation nor an apology was made.

Very nice hotel with large rooms and minimalist but cool decor. Lots of chat here about the view - I was on the 12th floor which was nice. I was checking in at midnight (booked only 30 min earlier) as was driving all day (11 hours in the car) and I was asked to do the self-check with the staff there to oversee it. It meant id/photo verification and a few steps which just felt tedious when all I wanted to do was go up to my room and sleep. I like the use of electronic keys, etc but at the expense of speed/comfort - just felt a bit out of place for the time. They gave a choice of drink when I arrived which was a nice touch and free water in the room. For parking I got lucky as a few free spaces, otherwise it would have been extra to park in the garage. Reasonable pet fee of $20.
