The Hotel@Dayton South

I stayed at the Hotel at Dayton South for 8 days at the end of December 2025. The price was quite reasonable and the hotel professionally run. My room was clean. The bed was comfortable and included multiple pillows. The room came equipped with a large TV screen with many viewing options. It also had a nice sized refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker with pods, an ironing board and iron, a well functioning and powerful hair dryer, and excellent water pressure with hot, warm and cold water. I also very much appreciated the black-out curtain that slid to cover the full window. Reservations included a complementary breakfast that during my stay was offering scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. Parking is outdoors but plentiful. In summary, based on my experience, I highly recommend the hotel.

Best hotel for the price I've been to. Very clean and neat. Nothing bad to say. The rate was so low I had to call and verify that the pics were real before booking. They are real! This place is unbeatable for the price. Really great customer service. Ashley at the front desk is amazing. Dont be scared of the price being low. Good hotel hreat people great deal. Price vs quality the best I've been to ever. (It was under 50 per night in the off season.) Breakfast was in line with standard hotel as well. Egg meat waffle machine. Really good biscuit n gravy on weekend. Book it, you wont have anything to worry about. It is a bit dated bit very clean and well taken care of. Safe neighborhood as well.

We had a great stay and were genuinely impressed with the overall comfort and value. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating (even for late arrivals). The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a restful night. While the property may feel a bit older in spots, it's clearly well maintained and the cleanliness really stands out throughout the lobby, hallways, and rooms. The free breakfast was a highlight-lots of options like eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and more, and everything was kept stocked and tidy. Parking felt easy and the location was convenient to restaurants and shops. For the price, this place exceeded expectations and we'd absolutely stay again and recommend it to others.

Positive: Nothing Negative: The first room we were given had noticeable water damage and the toilet didn’t work. Staff was rude. Second room had a broken remote and bad a/c unit. The entire building smelled moldy, Sketchy vibe. Thin walls. Noisy environment.

Excellent hotel! The rooms are spacious and very clean, making it a pleasure to relax after a busy day. We really enjoyed the good hot breakfast, and especially the delicious freshly ground coffee, which was a rare and very pleasant surprise. The location is wonderful and very convenient. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel!

While dealing with car issues at 1am, we needed a quick place to lay our heads. Being that we aren't from Dayton,we had trouble finding a inexpensive place to just lay down for a few hours, we took a chance of this place. At first glance it didn't look like anything we were use to, BUT, as we walked in we were greeted by a young man name Brian. Brian, was EXTREMELY pleasant, helpful and super attentive to our situation. He even went above and beyond to help us. After booking our with, we noticed that the heat wasn't working, we called down to the front desk, and Brian, immediately came up. Brian. Unfortunately wasn't able to fix the heat, but he offered to move us to a different room with NO HESITATION! I wish we had more people who actually took their job even 10% as serious as Brian, the world would be so much better. Kudos to Brian, you made our 5-6 hour stay pleasant and we both appreciate you being on top of things. Much love " the 2 crazy people who asked you silly questions " 😉

We were visiting family Chicago and stayed two nights Friday and Saturday. I enjoyed that the hotel was a quiet stay. The room is the standard decor, but did notice the chair at desk in room was worn and old. The refrigerator was in a hide away cabinet and a very nice size. It was hard me and my bad knees regarding the lower height of the bathroom seat, but everything was clean and set up well. The breakfast was awesome! I did not know that hotels still offer a warm breakfast with the nice variety of choices. Staff was very courteous, nice, and friendly. Thank you to staff Angie! You were so nice to everyone that came in the grab something to eat, just by saying good morning you made my day plus with the delicious food 😋 and keeping the food space clean and stocked. I felt that our out of town car was safe. I would return again.
