⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) Completely misleading and unacceptable. The reservation was made through Booking.com (not by me personally). The online price showed about $52 per night, but we were charged $72 for the night at check in, PLUS a surprise $50 deposit that was never disclosed during booking. That is deceptive pricing. Room had no working phone and no cable or TV. Basic amenities were missing. Staff communication was extremely poor, making it difficult to resolve simple issues or get clear answers. After realizing how bad this was, they refused to refund our Uber transportation even though the problems were immediate. I contacted Red Roof corporate and they did nothing. Hidden fees, inconsistent pricing, broken amenities, and zero accountability. Do not stay here unless you are okay with surprise charges and being brushed off once they have your money. added to this review I was a paid guest at HomeTown Inn. After I left a 1 star review, I was kicked out while I was still paid up. From what I’ve seen, this seems to be what they do to guests who leave honest reviews. I gave my word to both the hotel and the police that a lawsuit would be filed the next day, and I kept my word. I’ll happily see you in court.

Everything I have to say will be in the photos because they’re not letting me post a video. They charged me $65 a night when I first booked that room and then all of a sudden three days later it went from $65 a night to $75 a night plus tax The people that are there with animals. They don’t even say anything to the tenants to clean up their dogs feces every time I walk out my room there was dog poop everywhere. It looked like they literally put salt and a bucket of water and mopped my entire floor. I will post the pictures. I hope everybody sees these comments that everyone is making in there it is disgusting.

This has got to be THE worst hotel experience ever. "Non-smoking" is a joke. Whole building smelled like **** and there were "cigarette" burns on the bed sheets. Orange...stuff...smeared on all the light switches. The pull-out bed...don't even get me started. There were stains on that thing I'm pretty sure I don't want to identify. The guy in the main lobby was impersonal at best. The toilet didn't flush worth a darn (stuff came back to haunt us...). The ONLY good thing about this place is that it was very easy to get to and close to the interstate though that's hardly enough to justify the laundry list of bad...

Had stained sheets when we checked in. You have to request to have housekeeping. Holes in bathroom door and walls. Elevator booked own so no Elevator while here. Will never stay at one of these again. No coffee or breakfast. Just as bad as Motel 6 if not worse. When I asked to have garbage emptied I was informed that we didn't request housekeeping and that there's a garbage can we can use. We shouldn't have to empty our own garbage and when asking for housekeeping we should get get it

This was a sketchy place to stay. I had flown into Syracuse from TN and just needed a place to stay still a family member could pick me up the following day. I got there at midnight and first of all, all the doors were open as if they were inviting everyone inside. Secondly, the desk clerk was on the phone and complained about his job when he got done. I had been traveling for 10 hours and was in a better mood than he was. I had a room on the second floor and the desk clerk was annoyed when I asked him for directions. I was never given a WiFi password and didn't really care at that point. I also had to pay a $50 deposit which they had just started enforcing two days prior. After getting to the room, I understood the need for a deposit. There were cigarette burns on both bed coverings and there were bugs in the sink and on the bathroom floor. I felt very unsafe there. There was a prostitute staying in a room a few doors down. Never again will I try to save a few bucks just because I need a place to stay for eight hours.

The only reason service gets 4 stars is because the owner instantly gave me a refund after I refused to stay. The pictures are from the room I was given at first. What sucked was I paid for 2 days at this hotel and knew there was absolutely no way my 14 year old and I was staying here. The room was horrific - filthy and disgusting. I got the vibe there were some bugs around too and knew we couldn't sleep in this room. I felt very deceived by the pictures online. I complained - switched to a different room. It was a little better but the a/c filter smelled 3 years overdue with changing it. It smelled BAD. So I asked for a refund and got it. We couldn't find another hotel cause they were all full. So we slept in the car and showered at a truck stop in the morning. I'll never come to NY again.

Stayed here one night when it was supposed to be a 2 night stay because i woke up and found 2 cockroaches in our bathroom area in the morning. Some other highlights of the abysmal stay: bathroom door didn't lock, stains on the bedding that were unwashed stains, no smoke detector, little soundproofing on room to outside, plenty of mildew in the bathtub, the room was covered in animal and human hair, and the wifi was so bad that i was unable to load a youtube video. This place was by far the worst stay i have ever had in a hotel, and the staff seemed unbothered when confronted with the bugs in the room. There's plenty of similarly prices hotels on this strip, so stay elsewhere.
