Best Western Kiva Inn

Clean and predictable basic hotel with a friendly staff. Main entry lobby room was beautiful with a few huge high rise ceiling, maybe 30 ft high, with tons of natural light pouring in. Really well designed and thoughtfully cleaned lobby. Hotel room was very basic. Had everything we needed. Clean white sheets and towels. Location was close to the downtown Fort Collins area and convenient, but was right next to the highway and a pretty run down trailer park. Hot tub and sauna were nice touches.

So I actually had a great first impression upon walking into the Best Western Kiva Inn. Not at all what I expected. I loved the feel and decor the minute I walked in. It was a warm friendly and inviting area. The front desk woman was very friendly and more than helpful. I actually invested in one of the RV lots behind the hotel, there is 1 lot left for rent if your looking to stay in an camper or RV and they include electric, water, sewer and trash in the Rent which was very reasonable for the month. I met the owners and love the area and all the amenities that come with the hotel itself. The hot tub looked inviting as well. It's located right next door to a restaurant a convenient store and just a few blocks from Walmart, Home Depot, Kentucky fried chicken Taco bell. Ups or the safe way and lots of other little restaurants & I feel like it is a safe spot.. Well lit area.

Our stay at Best Western Kiva was exactly what we needed. It was clean, near downtown, and not too fancy. The very best part of our stay was the interactions with the front desk attendant, Alyssa. She might be the nicest person I have encountered in customer service. She booked our initial reservation over the phone, was there when we checked in, and assisted for checkout. She was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. Overall she is the type of person I would hire. Her demeanor was unforgettably nice.

Very quiet hotel! Had a room with a jetted tub in the room! Big enough for 2 people! The bed was too firm for me; however my man slept like a baby! The continental breakfast was the standard stuff. The high light was the tub! And for the price, extremely cheap! Great hotel and great location!

Excellent check in experience. Very friendly and informative staff. Hotel is super cute. Pet friendly but it costs $25 extra, not informed of this until I asked.

The reason for the visit to Ft. Collins was for an assessment and cancer treatment for my dog. My husband and I were traveling with the cancer patient dog, who weighs 70 lbs and our smaller dog, who weighs 22 lbs. We stayed for a total of 3 nights. On day 2, the day manager, who is an older woman of Indian descent, insisted that our room must be cleaned because of the "doggy odor". I suspect the source of the "doggy odor" was the infrastructure piping (perhaps a drain or water line) which was right outside our door behind a small red door at head level. Nonetheless, we complied with the request, which was a great disruption for me since I needed to move my work computer out to the lobby. ||The worst part of this experience was overhearing her complaining to the desk clerk about how awful the "doggy odor" was. Very unprofessional and I believe it was not factual. I sniffed both of the dog's fur and did not smell anything "doggy". They smelled like their freshly laundered dog blankets.||This place is obviously in need of some attention. The carpets are filthy. The rooms are decrepit. The RV park behind the property is rather sketchy. The day manager is frightening. They are NOT dog friendly. ||Save your money and go to the Comfort Inn a few blocks away. The rooms are less expensive, the breakfast is better and the folks there are quite nice. We were there for 5 nights and no one mentioned anything about a "doggy odor".
