Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

Great stay at the Kimpton Shorebreak. Located in quiet part of Fort Lauderdale this hotel is not super close to lively area but certainly walkable. We really enjoyed how dog friendly the property is. I was really delighted that my dog was allowed up on the rooftop pool area(not in the pool of course). The rooftop has great views and good spot to catch some sun. There is food available and the TVs had sports on. They had a Dj during the weekend until 7pm. It’s really popular amenity so chairs can be tough to get. The room was ok but found the bathroom totally lacking counter space. We used the complimentary bikes for a ride which were pretty standard (need an app and 2 hours were covered. $10 per hour otherwise). They had a small basket. I would definitely come here if you want to spend time with your dog outside of the room. Really happy with how dog friendly the hotel is. They have beach chairs offered but never used them

Great location, close to a lot of great spots! The rooftop bar is such a great place to hang out with a great view. By far the highlight of this place was Nicolle at La Fuga. She was so attentive and took the time to speak and get to know us, so personable! Her drinks were top notch, try her Negronis! We’ll be back this summer, hope to see her behind the bar then!

We chose this hotel because they advertised being dog-friendly and didn’t charge pet fees or have breed/size restrictions. We have a very well-behaved pit bull and they were very welcoming of our dog, she was allowed come with us around the hotel, like to cocktail social hour and to the rooftop deck. The beach is only one block away. We had a very pleasant stay. My only criticism is if you are vegetarian/vegan there is not much available at the restaurant or rooftop bar, I hope they add more plant-based options.

We spent only a couple days ahead of a cruise but we enjoyed it. Cute retro mid century style with quirky Kimpton-flavor decor. The front desk staff is A+++ and kudos to them for taking care of some room issues at check in. Bartending was awesome on the rooftop at the pool. Note we could have used a hand with our bags at the front door (while someone was there, we’re not sure if he was a porter, but regardless help with the door would have been appreciated). This is not a big W or Hilton type property though. Free Coffee bar in the AM was clutch. Food at the restaurant was great. Unique spaces across the property. Perfect for couples. A bit pricey in my opinion but the rooftop pool was great. Note $40 resort fee. We are looking to come back so all in all, good experience I would say.

What an amazingly awesome hotel in a perfect location next to the ocean! Had a lovely phone conversation with the personable Iris who arranged two lovely adjoining rooms for us which could not have been beautiful! When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Sheena and Gino. Both of them were so pleasant and friendly. Since we were early Sheena took our bags and directed us to the rooftop restaurant/bar/ pool. What a ‘wow’ space with spectacular views! Went to the roof again in the evening to hear some great live music. In the morning had a really great breakfast with fab service from Kevin! In summary, a really amazing stay!|Please know we have stayed over 1000 nights at IHG properties and that the Kimpton Shorebreak stands out as a really special hotel, with a truly wonderful staff! Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay at this cute, yet classic Kimpton hotel! Great service from the front desk to the bar tenders and hospitality staff. Hotel was clean, beds were very comfortable, water was available all the time, and the rooftop pool has great views and drinks and food! Good location overall - definitely within a nice part of FLL beach scene, by the Westin and Hilton hotels with alot of restaurants. Wish I could give it 4.5 stars, but going with 4 versus 5 here as the rooms could be just slightly more colorful and comfortable somehow - a microwave would have been fantastic! And some plants or something just to make it feel a bit more comfortable. But definitely recommend this hotel!

By no means is this an art deco hotel but it does have a lot of deco accents that lended some charm. It certainly isn’t a hyper modern hotel. I think it fits the architecture really nicely in the area. I appreciate that the hotel is surrounded by these massive mega hotels. I really enjoyed being in a building that was only two stories tall and I could just walk up one flight of steps and not wait around for a couple minutes for an elevator every time I needed to go somewhere. There’s a beautiful old car in front and they got to the world‘s most adorable golf carts to match it somehow. There’s plenty of outdoor space to hang around. The indoor restaurants pretty good. And the meeting space, actually worked out really well. You are one block from the beach. Most of the hotels were across the street from the beach so you’re not really suffering anything from that. It’s a nice place. I’d come back.
