The Big Coconut Guesthouse

Came to Fort Lauderdale for New Year's eve, vacation and my birthday. While my trip didn't start as planned these guys went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my time with them! I'm fact they completely turned my trip around on my birthday of all days! It was very comfortable and the guest were really nice and such a laid back atmosphere I didn't want to leave! They employees (Tom, Jim and Lloyd) were some of the nicest, funniest people I've met in a very long time! A special shout out to Peanut (special little bird) I didn't get to see you before I left but trust me I will see you soon beautiful! I want to thank these guy's for making my trip very memorable! I will for sure be back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation spot! The Little Coconut was just as relaxing as the Big Coconut! Smaller room but very nice and cozy! I'll be back here for sure! ❤️

Had a wonderful trip, this is a great resort! The employees were top notch and some of the most friendliest people I've ran into in a long time! I travel a lot between the US and Canada, but I can honestly say I had the most relaxing vacation I'd ever had staying here and the staff made sure of it! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing trip with everything at your finger tips, they had fresh hot coffee every day, the breakfast bar was satisfying and the other guest was so nice as well! I will for sure be coming back here! Thank you guy's for letting me leave with a very wonderful memorable experience!

We had a wonderful stay at The Big Coconut Guesthouse! When we booked, we added our estimated arrival time as requested, and indicated we would be coming in quite late, as we were travelling from Canada with multiple flights etc. Within maybe 15 minutes, one of the owners had called us personally and made sure we knew how their late check in procedures work. That same friendly and warm service continued throughout our experience. We were terribly delayed, way past when we were hoping to arrive, and they were incredibly accomodating. Way more so than we ever would have expected. We really enjoyed our visit, which included swimming in the pool, chatting with the other guests and hearing their stories, and taking a quick Uber down to Wilton Manors for dinner at Rosie's and a walk through the gayborhood. Breakfast in the morning was appreciated too We would love to come stay again whenever our travels bring us back to Fort Lauderdale. Thank you!!

This was our, my husband and I, first visit to The Big Coconut. We found the room to be spacious, the bed exceptionally comfortable, the pillows were perfect. All of the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. Met a great group of guys that were there many of them were returning guests. We liked it so much we have already booked our next trip.

My Tom and I just returned from a two week stay at The Big Coconut. We have vacationed there several times a year since they opened. It is still our happy place in Fort Lauderdale …. so welcoming, hospitable, friendly and good to all their guests. The property is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is heaven. David, Tom, Lloyd and Jim take such good care of us. We have already booked our Spring 2026 visit!!!

Owner David and staff Jim & Hazel were friendly, fun and accommodating. The room was large with a kitchen - always great if you need it - and the grounds and pool were very well-kept. It's not a new complex but it's super clean with a relaxed clothing-optional vibe. No attitude or pretense. It was my first time staying here and I'm already looking forward to the next! Thanks, guys!!!

It's such a great spot. Part of the wonderful service is having David, Tom, Jim, and Lloyd being available to make sure you have what you need for a stress free stay. Rooms are great! Beds are comfortable and having a small kitchenette gives you loads of options for provisions during your stay! My friends and I have been staying here for several seasons now and are becoming "regulars". Love you guys!
