Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Westchase - Westheimer by IHG

I stayed at this location a few weeks ago. The room was decent I guess. No real issues with that. Location was terrible, don’t go out at night. You can hear gunshots and a lot of homeless people walking around right near the hotel. Service sucked, after traveling all day and dealing with the very rude female at the desk was disappointing for a Holiday Inn. Plus the police raided the place and took the rude female working the desk. Like really Holiday Inn? I expect that at other hotels but not a reputable brand such as Holiday Inn. How can we feel safe leaving our belongings in our room if the police are raiding the place to arrest the staff? I’m assuming it was for something serious with the amount of police they had come in there. Very disappointed in Holiday Inn. Definitely won’t stay at this location again. I had a coworker stay at this location this past week (My company sends employees to this side of Houston frequently) and told him about our experience there, I described the female receptionist who was arrested and he told me she checked him in, so she’s still working there. Assuming it’s the same female that’s c crazy! Stay somewhere else.

Rooms were great, felt new, clean, and cool. Lots of good ports and variety lighting options. Good breakfast- several options. Garage was clean and safe. Staff were all helpful, even though the line got long and customers needed extra help from the front desk clerk, she opened up both terminals and really multitasked to get the line moving. I was impressed by that critical thinking. Dining tabletops are wobbly and could use some attention. Signage to restrooms and swimming pool are not directionally clear from the first floor. We plan to make this our new go to hotel when we are visiting Bellaire Houston!

Positive: Location Negative: The room was not a place to rest at all. Super noisy and loud due to being at a busy intersection and having poor construction.

Excellent location on Westheimer, conveniently situated close to dining, shopping, and key city attractions. The accessibility alone makes this property a strong choice for both business and leisure travelers. A special mention to Asma at check-in. She was exceptionally helpful, professional, and ensured the entire process was seamless and efficient. Overall, a very pleasant and well-managed experience.

Amsa at the Front Desk was so great to work with. Very knowledgeable, and friendly. Made my experience welcoming, along with her beautiful smile. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast options. Conveniently located. Parking is garage style. Really no complaints.

Bait and switched... I made a reservation while driving into town, but when we arrived three hours later, the reservation had been canceled. The front desk told my party—along with several other guests—that there were no rooms available. Many of us had already paid online, yet the charges hadn’t been refunded. We were then told those original room rates were no longer available and that if we still wanted a room, we would need to pay an additional **$56**.

Outstanding Service from Asma at Reception! I had a great experience during my stay, thanks to Asma at the front desk. She was very welcoming, professional, and always smiling. Asma made the check-in process smooth and was quick to assist with any requests throughout my stay. Her kindness and hospitality truly made a difference — thank you, Asma, for your excellent service!
