Fairfield Inn Joliet South

The lady at the front desk was extremely friendly from check-in until just a few moments ago. I waved and said hi, and she greeted me so professionally and kindly. Big up to you! I have honestly never seen such care for guests. I was already in a great mood, and when I opened my door and looked at the table, there was a nice note with a box of chocolates and a bottle of water waiting for me. That small gesture meant a lot. Great hospitality. Marriot price were more reasonable. I would not stay across the at Hampton inn. Not friendly at all...Marriott all the way.

This hotel is average with an average breakfast. Employees are extremely nice. However the $10 parking tax tacked on to the bill was a surprise (maybe I missed the fine print). |There are too many other hotel choices and I won’t stay here again

I’m not sure I understand the one-star reviews for this place—maybe the hotel was going through construction or a management change at the time? It’s not fancy, but it’s definitely not bad. The lobby smelled clean, and the breakfast was fully stocked with hot items, a waffle maker, oatmeal, and more. I will agree with other reviewers that the lack of gym access is a big disappointment. I had assumed a gym was standard at all Fairfields.

Normal hotel close to highway. Bad part is that you can hear kids and parents screaming from the adjoining room because the walls are so thin. I was moved to a different room but given a room one floor down underneath the screaming loud family. I was told there were no other rooms, which was a lie. When the night front desk employee came to work he apologized and moved me to the other side of the hotel. They told the people to be quiet but they just kept screaming at each other for hours. I have never had such a bad experience at a Marriott property, moving 3 times is unbelievable 😳 The room was clean but I do not recommend staying at this hotel. One night was enough.

Lemme start by saying I have a titanium status with Marriott. I normally stay for over 100+ nights a year for work. This isnt my first Fairfield stay. I have stayed at lots of Fairfields before, they’re pretty good for the price. However, this one is horrible. First, when you walk in the staff is so grumpy and not welcoming. Second, their carpets smell sooooooooo bad, its literally the stinkiest carpets I have seen at any hotels, and not just in the lobby or elevator but even the rooms. Third, when you turn on the water in the bathroom to shower or wash your hands you start smelling the sewer badly. Fourth, the toilet wont stop flushing itself every 5min. Fifth, they dont have a gym….like whattt. Never staying here again… do yourself a favor and save your money n go somewhere else.

I would've give all 5 stars but we didn't know until after we checked in that they charge you $10 for parking!!! And for what??? It was just a regular parking lot. Otherwise a good hotel
