Long story but someone wrote a review in my name so I'm here to correct it. I used to stay at the Best Western on 55 & 80. The rooms were good prices but the staff said something to me they shouldn't have and I started rent at the Hampton. I like that place. More expensive than the other place but fair. The staff are great! The rooms are clean and they think of everything in the bathroom. Breakfast is great. I am a frequent renter and will keep The Hampton as my hotel. I even signed up for Hilton Honors.
Nothing really stands out about this Hampton. It was clean. The people were nice. Was one of the only ones on this trip that offered the to-go breakfast bags. Pool was a decent temp but, could’ve been warmer. Lots of restaurants around.
Positive: Comfortable bed and nice shower Negative: Air conditioning did not work very well. Let the front desk know. I understand they wouldn’t get a repair person in that night. But I was a little annoyed they did not offer compensation. $--- for a very rough nights sleep.
This place is so close to a 5-star review, but there is something you NEED to know before booking, and I'll just cut to the chase: Even though the whole building is considered "non-smoking", the ENTIRE BUILDING STINKS OF WEED and cigarettes. We were on the 2nd floor and it was so bad we smelled it in our room in the morning. I'm not sure what management can do about this to prevent it, but they need to try something. If you're sensitive to aromas, this is a must-avoid place. Outside of that, the rooms were otherwise clean and tidy. The staff was courteous and helpful. The much-appreciated included breakfast is adequate but unspectacular (scrambled eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bananas, yoghurt, etc...). It's situated awkwardly about 4 minutes off the highway near a shopping mall, but it's not hard to find with GPS. I'd call it kid-friendly except for the fore-mentioned atmospheric offenses. There's a small pool. You get what you pay for, so it's a decent value. Management, please, do something about the stink.
Room was nice. Some of the fixtures were a little dated, or maybe just roughly worn. The service was awesome from all of the employees. We had our room service every day and the food was above average. I thought they kept everything nice and clean. So I was impressed by that there was always somebody going around cleaning things up with proper sanitation, so yeah, overall, I would say 1 to 10I would give them Eight and a half because i've never had a ten okay and we would stay again
I had a very unpleasant and honestly alarming stay. The moment I used the sink, it clogged immediately and the water got stuck. I called the front desk to report it and ask for help, and instead of sending maintenance or housekeeping, the staff member told me to fix it myself by dipping my bare fingers into the dirty standing water and pushing the silver drain/coil inside. That is disgusting, unsanitary, and not something a guest should ever be told to do. What made it worse: around 3–4 AM, another front desk employee entered my room using a key card without knocking first. After he had already entered, he backed out and then started knocking and said they couldn’t find my reservation details. He later "found" it using my name, meaning it was their mistake but entering a guest room like that in the middle of the night is completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe. On top of all this, the room was not soundproof at all. I kept hearing constant noise from the hallway and people entering/exiting other rooms, which made it hard to sleep. Between the unsanitary sink issue, the staff’s response, and the unauthorized entry, this was an awful experience. I would not stay here again.
This place was great - staff, breakfast, clean, location. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The extras they provide are such a sweet touch: hot cocoa bar, take-and-go bags, coloring sheets. And the price was perfect! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!
