This is a brand new property so everything is clean and in good working order. The hotel is in the parking lot of a mall so there are plenty of food options nearby. The room was clean and fairly quiet, breakfast was standard but good, and it was a very good value for the money.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting family and had a great experience! The room and common areas were clean. We had a great experience with the app that allowed us to check in without going to the front desk. It was so convenient! They also had one of the better continental breakfasts I’ve had. There was a yogurt machine, muffins, toast, pancakes, and protein options. The lobby has a pool table and several board games. If you are visiting Joliet, this is a great bang for your buck.

The hotel is brand new, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a variety of snacks for sale in the lobby minimal breakfast in the morning. The pancake maker was broken, and I didn't trust the idea of a yogurt dispenser so I only ate a toasted bagel. Everything worked great in the room and I'm impressed with a few design choices in the hotel: 1 - the floor in the bathroom is some kind of wood laminate that I've only seen in one other hotel and is not the least bit slippery like many tile floors are. It also feels warmer than classic tiles. 2 - the floor of the shower also is not slippery when wet like many hotel showers. 3 - I noticed that the carpeting in the hallways slowly changes color to include red hilights as you approach the elevator and exit. This is very helpful for navigation and I suspect would be valuable in an emergency. Definitely would stay here again. I would hope that the mall nearby will get renovated and become a destination again in the future.

My wife and I planned a trip to visit her father last week. While we were supposed to stay with him, he got sick right before we left and we had to find a hotel at the last minute. We booked with Tru Joliet Plainfield and we couldn't be happier that we did! The rate was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was really good. Far better than most hotel breakfasts at higher rates! However, by far and away, the most appealing thing about Tru is its staff! They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. That applies to all of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Everyone had a smile on their faces and it started our day out on a positive note! If you are visiting the Joliet area, I highly recommend that you stay at Tru! You will not be disappointed by the cost, the room or the service! That is especially true if you like to work with friendly people!

If you have to book a room in Joliet, you should book it here; there is no alternative but that's not the only reason to stay here. New construction hotel, I had a choice of king bed or two queen beds. The rooms are well kitted out and very comfortable; good mattress and linens, thermostat works perfectly, enormous television with Netflix and YouTube - plus the automation logs off your accounts after checkout! Can't beat the location either - super convenient. The staff were efficient, visible and friendly. Best breakfast bar I've seen at this level - cheese omelettes and sausage links every morning of my stay - plus the usual cold foods. Usually the gym is an afterthought but not here: full rack of dumbbells and kettlebells, balance balls, plus the usual stuff. They even provide towels and bottled water. Of course nothing is perfect. Like any modern motel the walls are thin so it can be a little noisy for people (like me) who are sensitive to noise. But, that said, this place seems to attract a more upscale clientele so all the guests and their kids seem well behaved; quiet hours are respected. My only two gripes: (1) the temp on my room fridge was turned way down and I did not realize it until I took a big gulp of curdled milk first thing in the morning (gross!) and (2) housekeeping staff left more hair in the bathroom than I did (also gross). If you have to stay over in Joliet do it here; whatever few pennies you save elsewhere are simply not worth it. Also, they participate in Priceline deals so the difference is negligible.

The price for the hotel is too expensive for the accommodation they provide also the assistant of the front desk has no training in what she is doing and the team they have looks confused on the weekends. With no supervision of a manager to be found and if you ask for anythink once the guest leaves they start taking about them. They are not trained for customer service even though they are to give the guest 100% money back granted if they just make one complaint but they say no we will not be doing that they also say that ask for gluten-free low cal food and they don’t provide glunt free be careful with item being left behind cuz they will keep it they hold on to it but by the time it gets to list n found it is lost now in the holidays they say the price is low. Pleas extended hotel starts at 84.99 n it has a little kitchen na closet n drawers for your clothes. I believe that this Hotel was thinking about youngsters reserving this hotel and forgot about their senior citizens and mothers with kids. I recommend for you to go to the surrounding hotels around they are better n provide more accommodation this hotel has the concept of a motel but charging you as a hotel with no pool to swim even super 8 hotel has a pool my opinion again. P.s. I believe that this Hotel was thinking about youngsters reserving this hotel and forgot about their senior citizens and mothers with kids. I recommend for you to Ps and the only reason that it looks clean is because it’s a brand new Hotel but if you really, really look, they’re cleaning the rooms with the same rags that they clean the bathrooms. They don’t have clean rags. They just wash them and use the same once again to weekly your bathroom in your rooms. And the bf is not nutritious it is Littley pre ordered pre cooked and frozen so bad. And they only have conventional microwaves which everything is supposed to be cooked in a oven. Not in a conventional microwave. Sorry but it’s not for me. I would not book here They never have management on the weekend. And when you have something negative to say about the hotel. They get very offended and then wanna make your whole day. Bad the management here. It’s not good. When you have happy employees you have a very good looking hotel. But when you have bosses to talk about each employee behind your back and then tells you. Oh I’m sorry you were not supposed to hear that. It’s kind of shameful. They just need to learn what leadership is and how to manage a hotel. The Right Way, Hilton Sometimes you need to look at your hotels and the people that you hire so you could understand what they’re doing with the concept that the Hilton has all your value course. They do not follow, so I don’t know why you have them and pictures

Short Review: ✅ Complementary Breakfast, LGBTQIA+ Friendly, Anti-Racism, Pets Allowed, Short Stay, Quiet Hours, 2 Elevators (3 floors), Board and Card Games along with other Older Games, 1 Pool Table, Technology Accessable, Exercise Room, and Liquor. ❌ Limited Handicap Accessibility, Extended Stay, Swimming Pool, and Pillows are overly puffy and don't conform to your head (a personal issue). ❓I know there is Wi-Fi, but I don't know if it's free or paid. ----------- Extended Review: This place was 'Truly' a new experience for me and my family! I believe at this time the location it's about 4-5 months old at the time of this post. Their sofas and nearby tables have outlets. They have, in my opinion, a unique front desk. It also has snacks, liquor, a microwave, and so much more around it. The staff is wonderful and kind! They have no problem answering any of your questions and are always happy to help. Their handicap accessibility isn't the best. While their handicap accessible rooms are quite large, the doors are heavy and don't have a button to automatically open them after the key card. A peephole is provided at wheelchair level along with a standard level. The bathroom downstairs doesn't have an automatic door button either but they are quite roomy for wheelchairs. While this location doesn't have a pool, it DOES allow pets. A $75 additional charge is what I was told for each pet. This may or may not change in the future. There is a cozy corner on the left side when you walk into the hotel that has a computer, printer, 3 cozy seats for school, work, or even silent activities and yes they also have chargers there too. Welcoming and Friendly pictures are also on the left side when walking in. They are diverse and are proud to show it. That about sums it up for my review. Tru was really a great experience for me and my family! All the staff were amazing but one stands out for sure. Sable, I believe was her name. She is so bright and bubbly.
