Hotel Kansas City - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

We hosted our work top performers event in the Grill Room, it was beautiful. The dark wood and tiles, pool table and perfect lighting. We had the Italian buffet, the Panzanella, Breaded Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccini and lemon Alfredo was so delicious, such wonderful flavor and incredibly fresh!! The bartender and servers were very fast, friendly and discrete. Rory was our contact person and she was very accommodating, we had more than a few questions and changes and she was perfect with them all! The Hotel is so historic and beautiful. There was a wedding the same evening which made the night seem even more elegant and exciting. My colleagues loved the Nighthawk for the after party cocktails and dancing. Highly recommend!

Positive: Location was amazing, we were a 5-minute walk from the T-Mobile Center, easy walking distance to good food and a wide variety of activities. Negative: The hotel was a prime wedding venue, due to this on our first night there was a large party being held. it was a little loud in the common areas, but the rooms were quiet enough even with all of the activity.

Hotel Kansas City is an impressive place to stay and easily one of the nicest hotels in the city. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building downtown, it manages to feel elegant and modern while still honoring its original character. From the moment you walk in, the design, lighting, and attention to detail make it feel like a thoughtfully curated space rather than just another upscale hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed, with high ceilings, quality furnishings, and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. Everything feels intentional, from the layout to the finishes, and the overall cleanliness and upkeep are excellent. It strikes a great balance between luxury and comfort without feeling overly formal. Service throughout the hotel is professional and friendly, and the staff is genuinely helpful with recommendations and requests. The on-site dining and bar options are a nice bonus and make it easy to enjoy a meal or drink without leaving the property. The downtown location is also a big plus, with easy access to restaurants, entertainment, and local attractions. Overall, Hotel Kansas City offers a refined and memorable stay that feels both welcoming and high end. It is a great choice for visitors who want a stylish, comfortable hotel that reflects the character and energy of Kansas City.

The room and lobby were beautiful and very clean. We went on Valentine's day and they were having a wedding reception, and also hosting a nightclub event so they were very busy. The room service did not have my entree so they sent up our food order without a replacement or notification. I finally ended up with a meal two hours after we ordered initially. They ended up refunding the entire meal which seemed appropriate. The bed was very comfortable but the TV was pretty far away if you like to watch a movie in bed. Parking is also difficult and far away unless you want to pay for valet service. Overall the stay was good but not sure if I would go back considering all of the factors.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Every aspect from the entry to the rooms are gorgeous and well maintained. The history of the place stands out. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful! Love that the valet is 24 hrs and they have the option to text the front desk to have your car pulled upfront before you go down. The little coffee shop is great for a quick morning starter. We didn't try the restaurant or bar as we had reservations elsewhere. Chose here as a staycation for my best friends 25th birthday and it was absolutely the right choice!

The lobby and bar was absolutely stunning. our suite clean and spacious. TV casting, mini fridge, and coffee bar were excellent touches 🙂 Valet drivers and front dest are friendly and helpful. Valet parking is $45 per night, but we parked at the parking garage at 148 E 13th St for $26 (24 hrs). overall very pleasant stay, will be visiting again!

Their staff is truly top-notch—professional, attentive, and wonderful to work alongside. The reception spaces are spacious and impressive, allowing events to flow beautifully. They do an excellent job sticking to the timeline and keeping the overall flow of the day seamless, which is invaluable as a coordinator. Hotel Kansas City is a fantastic choice for couples looking for a well-run, elevated wedding experience.
