La Mirage Inn - Long Beach

⭐️ 1 star (and that’s generous) I booked this motel through Orbitz and, upon arrival, immediately realized I’d made a bold and unfortunate life choice. The room smelled strongly of smoke, the walls looked like they’d been through several emotional breakdowns, and the bathroom cleanliness was… aspirational at best. The moment that sealed it, though, was the bedding, which had visible hair and what appeared to be blood stains. That’s not "worn," that’s a hard no. For bonus points, the smoke detector had been ripped out entirely, which feels less like a motel oversight and more like a safety suggestion. I left and booked another hotel the same night because basic cleanliness and safety are non-negotiable. If you enjoy gambling with your health and fire safety, this might be your spot. Otherwise, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This motel was not what it advertises. They towels were stained, the sheets were atained, the shower curtain has black mold on it (I have pictures to prove it). There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom. The front desk guy was rude and made me feel like I was disturbing him. The building needs work and fresh paint. There was food and garbage all over the phtside area. There is no closet nor clothes hangers. It smelled of Marijuana. They advertise shuttle service to the cruise port. But they dont, and didnt apologize for the false advertisement. We booked this hotel. For this reason and had to get a cab. We will never go there again and I plan to write this same review on hotel booking sites.

This hotel really saved my life. Somebody was trying to steal my car and I pulled into the hotel and they welcomed me and they kept me safe.They didn't charge it deposit.They're so sweet and kind.And the rooms are clean and spacious.I'm staying there again tonight

The room was poorly furnished. The bathroom needs to be updated. The venue is located right on the highway that is used by large and noisy 18 wheelers. The manager was friendly at first. When I checked out 4 days later, I realized that I had forgotten my "murse" (male purse); I was in Los Angeles and at 3:00 AM I drove back to the La Mirage. It took about an hour to get the attention of the manager. I found my murse in the night stand but all my money was missing! He said that no one had been in the room and that his cleaning lady would not have taken the money. I got robbed of a large amount of money. I will NEVER return to this motel nor will I recommend it to others. THE BEST THING I CAN SAY IS TO JUST KEEP AWAY!

If you have luggage and don't mind getting it up two flights of stairs, and you do not mind not having a closet, then this is your place to stay. The manager was nice, and the room was large, but could use some insulation under the door to keep the heat in when it is cold. They did provide a refrigerator and a microwave. I will not come back.

Great Customer service, we arrived 2 hours early before our check in time and was accommodated. Our room was very clean with a Refreshing scent. We'll be back our next time in Long Beach ⛱️

While the staff were friendly and accommodating it doesn’t make up for the 6 mosquito bites I woke up with the next morning. There weren’t any screens on the window and the bed just kept sinking to the middle no matter where you laid on the bed.
