Sanborn Guest House

We had an amazing stay at Sanborn Guest House!!!! The house is clean, cute, and cozy and the yard/garden is so serene and gorgeous. It's really a beautiful place to stay. It'a relatively quiet while still being within walking distance of Silver Lake restaurants and shops. We'd definitely stay there again!!

We stayed in the garden room for several days in July 2025. Very comfortable bed, plenty space to hang clothes and store our belongings, and nice shower. The hosts were very accommodating to changes in our arrival time due to flight delays. .The kitchen is well equipped and has a nice fridge, making it possible for us to have breakfast and some meals there. We spent some time in their nice garden just relaxing. Convenient location to several places; easy to get an Uber. They do have parking space available inside their yard for those who drive. We had no problem walking up and down (the somewhat steep) hill to a nice coffee shop on Sunset Blvd. Overall, the hosts are great, the place beautiful and comfortable, so it was a very nice stay!

I had a great experience at the Sanborn Guest House. Gary was a great host -- very kind and responsive. Rooms were clean with your own living area and bathroom. There's a shared kitchen with the other guest house but I never had issue and didn't ever see the other guests. Great value for your money, and it felt like home. I loved the peaceful backyard. Will definitely stay here again when I go back to visit LA.

Great neighborhood. Restaurants and nail shops. Great flower shop! Very clean. Great ambience kitchen great for cooking and warming food. Variety of kitchen utensils for coffee and tea. Quiet for restful sleep! Tv and heat/cold appliances. Free wi; enclosed parking. Outdoor patio reading area! Enclosed for privacy love this place.

Easily one of the nicest accommodations I ever had abroad. The house is beautiful and my room seemed like home after a short time. The area is really nice with bus stops a few steps away. There are also some restaurants. The owner is very nice and helpful.

We had an amazing stay in the suite room at Sanborn Guest House. The place was very clean and decorated tastefully. We had access to a full kitchen. The street is very quiet and the cute little garden is perfect for working and dining outside. You're also within walking distance of the best restaurants/bars and shops silverlake has to offer. The owners were very helpful and flexible. This guest house is a hidden gem and I can't recommend it enough.

Excellent property, well maintained. The home is located in the Silver Lake neighborhood, within walking distance of great coffee shops, eateries, quirky shopping. We didn't get to meet Jaime during our two night stay, but Gary is a personable, thoughtful host. We will check out Sanborn before we consider other properties should we get the opportunity to return!
