I was surprised. Its like mini apartments instead of a hotel. Clean, nice grounds, great pool and hot tubs. The staff was super responsive when the hot tub shut down and they fixed it right away...I just sent them a text, and boom...someone showed up. It was the same when I decided to stay another night and needed more towels. The front desk staff were fantastic, so nice and helpful. We had a nice patio with a great view of the golf course. The resort has great access to shopping and entertainment. I didn't give 5 stars on the room because people walking above us are loud; ask for a second floor room if you're sensitive to noise.
Positive: "" Negative: You can tell its an older place, like the jacuzzi by the pool was a little grodie. The place is a bit dated. Its still a nice place to stay in a quiet part of the valley
We had a great stay overall! The staff were wonderful — friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. The rooms were very clean and thoughtfully laid out, making the space comfortable and easy to enjoy. The only downside was that the bathrooms looked a little dingy and could use some updating, but it didn’t take away too much from our experience. Great price point for what you get, and we would definitely consider staying here again!
We stayed in one of the stuios. Its kitchenette was adequate. It was clean. It was in desperate need of needing new flooring. The TV was ridiculous, so small, think they got the smalles cheapest on possible. Plenty of room for a larger TV. The soundproofing had alot to be desired, you could hear the people next door which isn't fun in the middle of the night. If you want sleep this isn't the place for you. The bathtub jacuzzi did not work 🙁 ....The grounds themself were very well taken care of.
Family vacation that included our 40-lb dog primarily because this property allows pets. They are so great to provide a door magnet to indicate to others that there is a pet in the room. There are no elevators so your pet will need to be carried upstairs or walk itself if you get a 2nd floor unit. The property itself is conveniently located with supermarkets, stores, restaurants, and fast food joints within 1 mile. Additionally, if you're looking for something that feels more suburb and away from Phoenix downtown, this is a good choice. It's less hectic than city life.||Our 1-bedroom unit was spacious both the room and the living area, dining area, and kitchen. The bathroom was HUGE, especially the shower. It made me want to remodel my own shower to be of the same size and shower head. I loved showering in it with so much space.||Good place for families with pets, couples, or even a solo adventurer. Just let the staff know so they select a unit accordingly for your needs and stay.
We recently stayed at the Westgate Painted Mountain Resort from Friday, 12/5 through 12/12. We made our reservation through Interval International and received our confirmation previously in January 2025. When we arrived at the resort, the resort staff did not see our reservation. They told us we were on our own and needed to take up our concern with Interval International. Interval International said everything was done correctly and asked for an email or fax number for the resort and they would send over the confirmation again. The front desk would not accept information from Interval International through an email or fax. I found a manager who talked to the Interval International representative and said he would take care of it and make sure we got a room.||When we did finally get a room, I was really disappointed with the quality of the furnishings. The cabinets were covered with a woodgrain vinyl adhesive covering that was peeling off. The chairs were cracking and splitting, showing the foam inside. The furniture was old and dirty looking. I attempted to take a whirlpool bath in my room. After filling the tub, the whirlpool didn't work. ||I let people know we were not satisfied. They apologized but no one came by to check our room or offer us better accommodations.||The worst part was that there were bugs (roaches) in the bathroom, kitchen and living room. I complained and they exterminated but the bugs continued every day. ||With every complaint I made and every problem we encountered, the staff apologized but no one ever offered us a better room. No one ever offered anything to even try to compensate us for the poor experience and unacceptable accommodations.||The day before we check out, while using the grill (for the 3rd time) and talking to another person staying here, we found out that grill equipment was available from the front desk. We were not told this and we never received any explanation of what was available at the resort. There no events or activities.|We are very disappointed with the quality of the accommodations. This was a total waste of the time and cost involved. It was embarrassing and was both hurtful and harmful to us.
We stayed here for a total of 4 nights for a kiddos soccer tournament in Mesa and were very happy with our stay! If you are wanting a brand new room with room service and a hotel experience, this might not be for you. But if you are like us and we’re looking for a nice place to stay with a full kitchen so that you can buy some groceries and do a little cooking and run a load of laundry and dishes while you are staying, then this is perfect. The couch cushions had some wear and tear in them but the couch was very comfortable and the fact that it pulled out to a bed for our kids to sleep on was even better. We saved a ton of money by being able to cook instead of going out for every meal. The resort was very clean and had a fantastic heated pool and hot tub along with a pickleball court and basketball court and even had some outdoor gathering places around a table fire and outdoor grilles that were available even though we didn’t end up using them. The rooms were spacious although the TVs could be updated, but they did the trick. The location was great being only 20-30 minutes away from the soccer fields and the zoo and the other attractions that we found nearby. The staff was very friendly and responsive when we needed something. They also didn’t waste time and energy by cleaning our rooms everyday and just gave us clean towels and toiletries when we asked for them. They also had some fun looking daily activities for the kids like birdhouse building and cookie social, but we were not able to attend any of them so I can’t comment on if they were fun or not. We very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were in town!
