The Bungalows on Shary

This was my first time staying here and it was such a beautiful place. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were extremely clean. I would definitely recommend upgrading to the Deluxe King Suite they are very spacious and worth it. I loved the little details, from the shower slippers and toothbrush to the daily toothpaste kits and the scent machine that keeps the room smelling amazing. Everything felt fresh and well thought out. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I will absolutely be coming back!

If you’re in the Mission–McAllen area, stay at Bungalows on Shary. It’s nothing like a typical chain hotel more like a cozy, modern retreat. Tile floors, comfy beds, a warm living space, sleek bathroom, kitchenette, and everything spotless with crisp sheets and plush towels. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the chef personally prepared a hot breakfast, and even the coffee was top-notch. Truly five stars, thank you!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the bungalows from 2/12 - 2/16 while visiting family. We were extremely impressed with the room and amenities. The cost was a nice surprise when compared to larger hotels in the area. The breakfast was great each day that we stayed. We will definitely recommend The Bungalows to our extended family in friends while in town and will stary here again.

The rooms are very clean and spacious, they have their microwave fridge and stove.. the environment is very clean and the staff is very nice and attentive.. the girls in the front desk are very efficient and friendly.. I had a great experience staying there and will definitely stay again .

Loved it, its clean, spacious, cozy and friendly staff. Decor is hacienda like, very cozy. Nice stay for a couple, a little family trip or a solo trip. Room has a kitchenette and a desk so great for remote work. The pool is big and there are shaded seating areas, there is a gym and breakfast is included. Less than 6min away from the HEB plus and expressway. Very quiet area. Felt peaceful and relaxing.

Staff was very helpful and friendly! The rooms feel super homey — the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved that it had a kitchenette and mini fridge, and they even provided a toothbrush and sewing kit, which was awesome to see. It really shows they care about their guests. There’s also a vending machine and a pool, and check-out isn’t until 12pm, which is super convenient! There’s a restaurant available too, with a menu right in the room — I didn’t get a chance to try it, but the food sounded good and affordable. Just a friendly heads-up: there’s a $100 deposit, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Overall, a great stay — I’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing hotel! The rooms really surprised me — extremely spacious, comfortable, and absolutely worth the price. The surroundings are beautiful, full of greenery and tropical plants, and the morning walk along the one-mile pathway was a perfect start to the day. The gym is excellent, with well-maintained equipment, and the bathrooms are both spacious and luxurious. I’ve stayed here about five times now and will keep coming back whenever I’m in the Valley.
