New owners just recently took over and have started remodeling . So far it seems to be getting a.huge face-lift so im excited to see what happens here. The front desk staff could use an attitude adjustment or perhaps a class in customer service. She gave me the "annoyed" look when I tried making small talk with her.
If you need a cheap place to stay, for whatever reason, then this is your best bet. This place has truly been a blessing and the staff have been absolutely amazing! The new rooms are beautiful and incredibly cozy, I definitely feel comfortable and at home here (even though its a hotel). I have and will continue recommending this place! Although their pop machine needs an upgrade thats forsure!
The rooms were a little outdated, when we walked in it smelled like bleach so i’m guessing it was freshly cleaned. I am a bit of a clean freak so my opinion on cleanliness sometimes isn’t fair. But to my standards it wasn’t the cleanest, I found a mysterious hair on my pillow, but i normally put a shirt over my pillow anyway so i didn’t complain. It was also late and i was ready to go to sleep. It was a decent place to stay for the price. Their breakfast options were pretty simple grab and go stuff, so we grabbed some snacks for the road. The lady at the front desk for check in was kind, asking us about our trip. I felt bad because we were so tired i’m sure we weren’t making any sense. It was a place to rest our heads for the night which is what we needed.
I stayed here for a night. The place was clean, the room was nice. It was a quick stay, but it seemed to be very down to earth. They have a good selection of breakfast options. It seemed to me like a good amount of people who were staying there were people on construction jobs or something like that, not a bad thing, it just seemed like that was a major part of the clientele.
I had a reservation, but when I arrived the place felt like somewhere I would not want to stay. Smelled like cigarettes when I walked through the door, and the employee was wearing a low cut, unprofessional looking cami. I just couldn't get over the fear that my room might not be clean or safe so I booked somewhere else. It may have been totally fine, but it just did not feel great
I travel constantly and the company I work for will pay for a hotel pretty much anywhere. But I drove past this place and it looked nice and cozy so I decided to book it. Was it the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in? Definitely not. Was it comfortable as hell? Absolutely. Plus the front desk person Rayelle (I probably butchered that name) was so sweet and nice and accommodating - it was just a breath of fresh air. There's always a little bit of a different feel when you go to a small business versus a big chain and I really like that. Only criticism I had is the next day there was no breakfast or coffee which is a bummer because the reviews kept saying how good the breakfast was and I was starving, but people sleep in and things happen so that's ok. One thing I should mention is that Rayelle made a bunch of the people staying there some delicious goulash for dinner, homemade, it's just a sweet thing to do and you can tell it made some of the people happy. By the way the sauna was amazing.
I recently stayed at the bison lodge .. when I got to my room it was not clean the floors needed to be vacuumed and the bathroom to the door needed to be swept.. it actually really gross.. I asked the front desk if they could vacuum my room and clean the floors while I was out.. but they didn't.. when I asked why it wasn't done the person behind the desk said they only clean the rooms once a week... seriously.. also when I looked in the fridge there was still water bottles in the fridge that where used.. I had to go down again to get soap for my hands because there was none in the room when I checked in.. when you shut the door you have to slam it to make sure it shuts.. so if you need to be up early I recommend not staying there because of the doors slamming at all hours .. the walls where like paper so I could hear everything in the next room.. I highly do not recommend staying there..
