Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Naperville

I would strongly advise against staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Naperville. The management staff here is extremely rude and unprofessional, and the overall experience was deeply disappointing. The rooms are outdated, the beds are low and far too soft, and the atmosphere does not reflect the quality or comfort you would expect from a Marriott property. What made my stay even worse was the behavior of the managers. Their treatment of professional people of color is unacceptable and, in my experience, openly discriminatory. I personally endured disrespectful and condescending behavior, being spoken to as if I were a child, despite remaining respectful and even thanking them for assistance they did not provide. Most disturbingly, I overheard the front desk manager use a racial slur when referring to me. No guest should ever have to endure that kind of behavior, especially while paying for a stay. It is clear that this hotel does not value all of its customers equally, and they go out of their way to ensure that certain guests do not feel welcome. Whether you are traveling alone or with your family, this is not a safe or welcoming environment. For the sake of your comfort, dignity, and peace of mind, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There's nothing better than finding an affordable hotel in a good neighborhood. After a long drive, getting out of your vehicle, and embracing the peace of the area. The rooms effectively blocked out any noise from both inside and outside. The beds were extremely comfortable, and after waking up, I enjoyed my breakfast on the balcony overlooking the courtyard. Once my head hit the pillow, I didn't want to leave this property, and I'm sure you won't want to either!

I had a business trip and I decided to stay at courtyard Marriott. And I Definitely would not recommend. Weird smell throughout the hotel. No microwave in your room. I have to leave my room and go to the lobby area just to heat some food up. Out dated TV, glitching the whole night. The staff are great! I appreciate all the hard work they do. But overall Courtyard Marriott Naperville probably one of the worst hotels I been to

We stayed here 3 nights. The bed was comfortable, but a little bit lower than usual. Their darkening drapes were very good and we slept very well. The property is a little older but maintained well. We were in a suite and it was nice they had separate climate controls for each room. The couch was quite low. One problem was the soap - it was hollowed out in the center and kept breaking, even on the first day. Cutting corners in the wrong places.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room & hotel. That was the most important thing when we looked at booking. This hotel had a high rating for cleanliness, and it lived up to that rating. Our room was pristine. Kudos to housekeeping. The staff was friendly & accommodating. Our family liked the hotel layout, and enjoyed a first floor room with sliding door to a courtyard where our kids played. The location is great, with good dining options within walking distance. We plan to stay here again the next time we come to Naperville.

We had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. After spending over an hour on the phone with the Marriott team, we were assured that we would be able to check in at 3:00 AM on July 5th, 2025, following a long day of travel. This check-in time was also clearly stated in our app. However, upon arrival, the front desk staff was unhelpful, unclear about the reason we couldn’t check in—despite the hotel appearing to be empty—and frankly, quite rude. The situation was handled poorly, and the lack of professionalism and communication from the staff made an already exhausting day even more frustrating.

Simple hotel for business travel. Has some thoughtful amenities like a boarding pass printing station, a cafe in the lobby and even an indoor pool. Only down side is a moldy/musty smell which may just be inherent in early spring but it was noticeable and I’m somewhat sensitive to smells so if that’s you - there may be other places that better suit your purposes
