Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We just had a 1 night stay with my sisters to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is beautiful - lovely architecture, artwork, lobby and dining areas. The rooms are nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms have all the necessary toiletries. One thing of note was how quiet the rooms are! We had a room on the 5th floor overlooking the harbor and highway and we didn’t hear a thing. No issues with noise from other rooms either. Had drinks in the bar which was very comfortable and fun. Brunch was awesome - great menu, reasonable prices and food was plentiful and very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. So great that this historic building has been developed into such a beautiful hotel. Overall I would highly recommend the Hotel Marcel if you’re visiting the New Haven area.

Stayed at Hotel Marcel in New Haven and overall had a great experience. The rooms are clean and a really good size for the price. Even though the hotel is located right off a major highway, you can’t hear the traffic at all, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is also convenient—just a quick drive into the main part of the city. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly the bathroom setup. The bathroom itself is a good size, but the shower is extremely small—around 5x3. I actually hit my elbow a few times while showering, and the door almost hits the shower handle when opening, which gives you an idea of how tight the space is. The other small issue is that the room doors tend to slam when people open or close them, so you can hear when others are coming and going. Other than those minor things, it’s a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

The room is spacious and clean. The staffs are polite and kind. The breakfast is also great. Will stay next time.

The hotel was lovely. We got there late, so we didn't get to enjoy the amenities much. The room was a double queen, which was plenty - if a tad bit small. The bathroom was great and I appreciated the motion sensor lights in the middle of the night. The beds were comfy, the black out shades could have let us sleep till noon. The breakfast was delicious, but with only two wait staff, they were a bit busy. Overall a good time.

This has been my favorite New Haven hotel for years now. The customer service has always been amazing. The restaurant inside has really good food and decent hours of operation. I love how spacious the rooms are and their sustainability efforts. Another reason I loved staying here was the cleanliness of the rooms, which was not met my last stay (hence the missing star). I’m really hoping this was just a one time thing rather than a decline in quality.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marcel New Haven. The building is beautiful with a modern design that gives creates a comfortable aesthetic. The location is super convenient as well, being right next to IKEA and very close to the city, which made getting to places very easy. The highlight of our stay was the front desk staff, Louie. He was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome right away. Because of such a great experience, this has become our regular stop during Christmas, and we’ll always stay here whenever on our way to New York. Would absolutely recommend!

This is a great hotel that truly lives up to what you expect at a Hilton property. My travels in and out of New Haven had me staying here twice in a week and both times all of the staff were excellent. Always helpful, friendly and incredibly accommodating. The on site restaurant/bar was great and reasonably priced and the lattes they serve are A+. The rooms were spacious and modern and the hotel was clean from the lobby to the guest floors. This is where I'll be staying when I return to New Haven and certainly where I'd recommend a friend to stay.
