Older hotel that's been cheaply renovated. Rooms were clean suites with kitchenettes. No breakfast, thin walls, some maintenance issues. There was no way to turn on the shower, only the tub. Tub wouldn't drain. Not a bad stay for a roadside stop, but for the price I expected something a little nicer.

New Haven Village Suites is no longer operating as a traditional hotel. The property has transitioned into studio and one‑bedroom apartment units, and the entire complex is currently undergoing major renovations. This shift means the focus is now on long‑term residential living rather than short‑term stays. The renovations are bringing noticeable improvements to the buildings, interiors, and overall layout. While construction is still in progress, the management has shared that they will begin accepting applications for the newly updated apartments soon. Anyone interested in affordable, renovated housing in the New Haven area may want to keep an eye on their updates. This is a property in transition, but it’s moving toward becoming a fully residential community with upgraded living spaces and a new direction.

The bathroom was disgusting! Towels had hair on them. The paper towel holder had mold on it. The table had brown gunk on the sides. The carpet was matted and stained. The fireplace does not work. Utility closet in kitchen with a vent that was caked up with dust. This a 1 star motel hidden behind the previous owners..Marriot. Do not be deceived! The rates do not match the property.

A somewhat sketchy extended stay motel. Not what we were expecting. The rooms are a bit run down. The kitchen is minimally stocked. There is a full oven though which is nice. However, no cookie sheets or baking pans. Dishwasher did not have a flatware holder. Nice to have a full freezer and fridge. Good lighting and outlets. Bed reasonably comfortable. No bathmat and not enough towels. Closet doors did not work properly. In all fairness, we did seem to be the wrong demographic for the hotel. Surprisingly generous grab and go breakfast. Friendly Staff.

We stayed two nights. The room is huge with a full kitchen. I could not believe the wood burning fireplace. The front desk woman was delightful. The shuttle service was a treat. Breakfast was good, the woman who tended it was pleasant and considerate. I recommend this place.

This is the WORST place I have ever stayed in . I was traveling for work and booked 5 days here . I checked out immediately ! The rooms stink . (I requested a room change and still!) the carpets are stained , there are spiders in the rooms , the mattress is stained. The oven is filthy . Just nasty !! Please save your money and time. I can’t believe a place this nasty is open . It’s just disrespectful .

Filthy, Disgusting and Unsanitary Property Our assigned room had a boarded up window still showing broken glass, mold in bathroom around tub, damaged (chewed?) headboard, rusted and dirty air vents, stained furniture, stains on carpet (blood?) and to top it off there was a urine puddle in front of toilet. When I called the front desk about the condition of the room, I was told there was no one to clean it and that I could go to the front desk and get some gloves and cleaning spray if I wanted. When I asked for an adjustment to our bill she said she could not give us one. When I asked for a manager I was told the manager left at 4 pm and that she was the only person on premise. When I asked what time manager would be in tomorrow she said she didn’t know if one was coming in because it was the weekend. The receptionist could not have been less helpful. I know she could have contacted someone because she called someone when she couldn’t find our reservation and they told her what to do. She told us twice the place was sold out…I am doubtful of that because only about 25% of the parking spaces are occupied. This place was disgusting. We literally slept in our clothes that we wore all day. We didn’t want to open our suitcases. We only brought our suitcases in the room because the property was in a sketchy area, it was rather dark and we were concerned about theft of bags if we left them in the car. This place was a HUGE disappointment after an 8+ hour drive from Washington DC. It is the worst place we EVER stayed in. If we hadn’t been so exhausted and if it had not been dusk, we would have searched for another hotel.
