We had a wonderful stay at Grand Victorian Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans the weekend before Mardi Gras, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. One of the best parts was being able to watch the Mardi Gras parades directly from the front porch, which made this bed and breakfast an incredible place to stay during parade season. The location is perfect for anyone looking for a historic bed and breakfast in New Orleans with easy access to Mardi Gras festivities. The rooms were beautifully preserved, old and historic in the best way, with elegant wooden furniture and thoughtfully designed bathrooms that fit the character of the home. The interior decor throughout the property was stunning and felt very intentional. Breakfast each morning was filling and well done, and having tea and coffee available at all times was a really nice convenience. We also loved relaxing on the balcony and taking in the views. The only minor issue we experienced was that the shower drain had some trouble draining on our last night, likely due to long hair buildup, which felt more situational than structural. Overall, this is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a charming, historic bed and breakfast in New Orleans with great views, a prime Mardi Gras parade location, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.

My husband and I, along with our friends from FL, stayed here and absolutely loved it. It is located in the Garden District, which offers beautiful old homes with amazing architecture. The Grand Victorian is definitely our "go-to" when we come to New Orleans. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The amazing staff makes your stay very pleasant and is always there to help if you need anything. I highly recommend staying here. There are several great restaurants within walking distance or driving. The streetcar stops right in front of the house, and this is an easy way to get around town. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Being able to stay in the gorgeous historic Queen Anne home on picturesque St. Charles Avenue in the heart of the New Orleans Garden District as if it is your own home is an experience beyond compare. Mornings in the sunny front room watching the streetcars pass beneath the oaks while sipping coffee, and sunsets on the large roof deck balcony anticipating an evening out are delightful. And access to all of New Orleans’ offerings is so easy! Host Betty and all the staff are so friendly and helpful, and they provide all comfortable amenities seamlessly. I recommend this B&B wholeheartedly.

I simply cannot say enough good things about the Grand Victorian. The house is absolutely breathtaking and beautifully decorated. The rooms are cozy and so comfortable. The beds were perfect and we slept so well. Each room has its own private bathroom. The continental breakfast each morning is delicious. There is water, ice, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee out at all times. There is a shared refrigerator on the 2nd floor if you need to store anything cold. The streetcar stop is literally right in front of the house, very convenient to get around town. It is walking distance to a coffee shop, a couple restaurants, and a market. Everything else is just a streetcar ride away, no need for a car. The French Quarter is a lot of fun, but it is nice to have a quiet place to retreat every night that is not in the middle of everything. Ericia and Veronica were very kind and attentive, and our rooms were spotlessly clean. The owner, Betty, is very kind and friendly and gave our stay the personal touches that make all the difference. She gives good information and clear instructions on check-in and check-out. I will DEFINITELY be back!

The Grand Victorian is a true New Orleans gem. It’s a beautiful old house, tastefully decorated with antiques, so that alone makes it worth a stay - but when you consider its location, it becomes a must-stay. I can’t recommend the Grand Victorian enough, ESPECIALLY during Mardi Gras. We were amazed with the entire Mardi Gras experience. Dozens of parades run right by the Inn. We could walk outside and be at the parade. As locals, we truly understand the gift of this - people park miles away and hike to get to the parades that were on our doorstep at the Grand Victorian. If we were tired in the middle of a day of parades, we could hop back to our room for a nap in the beautiful antique bed. If we didn’t want to be right in the middle of the crowd, we could sit on the beautiful porch and watch the floats go by. There is so much to offer in addition to Mardi Gras, too. It’s walking distance from the Inn to Commander’s Palace, a bucket-list restaurant. And the streetcar can take you to so many other great restaurants, historic homes, haunted tours - you won’t be bored. We loved our time at the Grand Victorian. It was a wonderful break from day-to-day life and let us step back in time and relax in style.

The Grand Victorian was absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend this sweet place to stay while in New Orleans. The location was close enough to downtown and easily assessable by trolley which passes right in front of the Grand Victorian. H

This was an incredible place to spend my weekend in New Orleans! First let’s talk class and cleanliness of the entire place…the details of each room are exquisite and there’s isn’t a speck of dust anywhere! Erica was the staff that I worked with the most and she could not have been more kind and attentive. Breakfast was served promptly and just enough privacy was given to enjoy it without feeling rushed. Location location location! The Garden district is fantastic and so charming. The street car stops right in front of the Grand Victorian making it so easy to get pretty much anywhere! I walked to a nearby coffee shop each day that and even enjoyed dinner at Commanders Palace which is just a few blocks away! 10/10 recommend The Grand Victorian for your New Orleans stay!
