Yes, there were several issues during my stay. Upon my checkout just a few moments ago, I let the front desk worker know that I did not have any hot water in my room and that I just washed my hair in the sink because the shower was unbearable. She told me that there was nothing she could do, as there was construction work outside and that people who checked in yesterday received a notice. I did not check in yesterday, I checked in on Thursday and received no notice, either by email or otherwise. I said I am paying hundreds of dollars to stay at a hotel and there is nothing you can do to compensate for the fact that I did not have hot water? Something I could have gotten at my own home? That is ridiculous to me. ||||Housekeeping did not come to my room at all for 2 of the days of my stay and this morning, the day I am checking out, they knocked on my door around 9am. Why is housekeeping coming to a room that is scheduled for check out? Clearly there is insufficient communication amongst the staff.||||However I would like to note that the evening desk worker, Roman, was amazing. Very kind and helpful; gave me great recs and very pleasant to speak with. Thank you Roman for great service for the first few days of my stay.

So the "communal coffee pot" in the lobby was out of service at 6:15 am, I’m down there in my bathrobe and damn near ready to die at the prospect of caffeine withdrawals when I heard the news. Christopher at the front desk dug in his pocket and gave me $20 to go get coffee across the street so I didn’t have to go back up to my room to get money. Walked me out the door showed me where to go so I wouldn’t get lost. I’m like "but I’m in my bathrobe!" He gave me a pep talk and was like don’t worry about it you’re fine. Go get your coffee love! I felt empowered, he had my back, helped me keep my priorities in check. Coffee or DIE! As a lady from Massachusetts I would also just like to say these heroics would never happen in Boston. The hotel itself is a solid B+ but the customer service? Wow. If management is reading this review, Christopher deserves a raise and a promotion!

We recently hosted our 2025 National 811 Liaison Conference at this hotel, and I felt compelled to share our experience. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but the level of service we received here deserves to be recognized. From the moment planning began, the sales staff and management team, especially Amanda and Sophia, were exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure every one of our attendees had what they needed to fully enjoy the conference. Christopher at the front desk made check-in seamless and welcoming. Abigail, who managed the Loa hotel bar, was not only wonderful to work with, but her hospitality and craft cocktails were the highlight of many conversations among our attendees. We received so many compliments throughout the week that I could hardly keep track of them all. To top it off, the owner of the hotel personally came to speak at our event—a gesture that spoke volumes about the pride and care behind this establishment. Our outside caterer did an excellent job, and the A/V team on site was professional and attentive. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I will be hosting all of our future New Orleans conferences at this hotel for as long as I’m in charge. The experience here rivals some of the finest hotels I’ve stayed in—on the level of Ritz-Carlton hospitality and service. One note: I didn’t sleep particularly well, but that was simply because I’m used to quiet country nights, not city lights. The bed itself was extremely comfortable. If you’re considering a location that offers something special, memorable, and truly guest-focused for your conference or event—I highly recommend this hotel.

Sent message to hotel but received no response. Be advised there is an early check in fee. Because the manager wasn't around it was waived during our visit. The hotel charges a Amenity Fee, in order to bring you an authentic NOLA experience like morning coffee. Both mornings the lobby coffee was cold. Best part of your experince was the room mouse climbing down the curtain. The wife wasn't thrilled about this part of the NOLA experience! Still a nice hotel.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Very serene. Lush decor. Coffee in the bar in the morning (self serve) is the perfect place to slow down and take it all in. Had a drink in the evening and our bartender was fun and engaging. Everything about this hotel is so peaceful. The art (Bansky!), the soft music and the fragrances are well designed. The staff are so chill and friendly and helpful. LaSandra and the other reception personnel always had a smile! We will keep returning.

My husband decided on our hotel for a long weekend in New Orleans, and this was his stylish boutique choice. The prime Camp St location turned out to be ideal since it was a couple of blocks south of the French Quarter and a brief streetcar ride to the Garden District. We were within reasonable walking distance to our planned activities like dinners at Emeril's and Willie Mae's and the live music at the Crescent City Blues Festival at Lafayette Square. While the Beaux-Arts building was built in 1906, it didn't become a hotel until 1998 when an enterprising entrepreneur noticed that the smaller boutique hotel market common in London and Paris was underserved. The lobby has a modern sheen featuring Banksy-style art and edgy celebrity portraits. Our $270 per night standard room had a more traditional feel, somewhat dated with minor flaws like a nightstand drawer that didn't close. I was surprised that some amenities were lacking like a safe and a coffeemaker. However, the Queen bed was comfortable and the room spacious enough at 325 square feet. Our room didn't face the street, so there wasn't excessive noise. The front desk staff was polite though the service level was on the middling side. We definitely enjoyed the Loa Bar. Primarily for the location, we would consider a return stay.

Our stay has been wonderful, in large part due to Christopher! He always welcomes us with a warm greeting. The hotel lobby also has a very pleasant and relaxing aroma with beautiful art.
