We stayed only one night after a show at Walt Street Theater but thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. This was our first visit and after booking, I realized I preferred another room. Claudia, the concierge was very helpful and responded quickly to arrange it. We loved room 301, it was a beautiful room, very comfortable bed, and nicely furnished with a lovely bathroom. The lobby and breakfast room are very nicely appointed and breakfast was lovely with something for everyone. I was in the mood for hot chocolate which I did not expect but it was available along with a variety of coffee, tea and cookies in the afternoon when we arrived. Also, they validate parking which gave a discount on the rate. Overall a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The staff is superb. Helpful, friendly, and efficient from the first phone call to make my reservation to the end of my visit. The room was in good condition. Everything worked. Nice armoire and plenty of drawer space. Be advised that there's no elevator and as it is a very old house, the steps are steeper and shallower than you might be used to. The Continental breakfast is good. Cut fruit, cereal, English muffins, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and good coffee. The location is convenient to the historical district and museums. There is a variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance. I didn't have a car but I understand that there is no on-site parking but there is an arrangement with a nearby parking garage. I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple as we were attending a party in the city. All 4 of us absolutely loved it. Yes...It is a little quirky, and the water pressure is a little weak. But the house is so charming - the breakfast room is precious and there is always coffee and tea available. Our mini-suites were both very comfortable. The staff made us feel right at home. We loved everything about it.

Just stayed here this weekend. Staff VERY accommodating, super friendly and pleasant! Location was great as we were there to see a show at walnut street theater. Unfortunately didn’t get to see as much around town this weekend as it was brutally cold and extremely windy. Can’t wait to book a stay this summer!!! See you then.

This charming boutique hotel exceeded every one of our expectations. It is a mansion built in 1787 by two brothers. It is well appointed and immaculately clean. Continental breakfast includes the world’s best crumb cake. Afternoons tea includes freshly baked cookies. Jerry has the best stories about the hotel’s history. We loved everything about this gem.

Although a quick trip really loved this historic hotel right in the heart of the historic area of Philadelphia. We could walk to everything we wanted to see from Independence Hall to Betsy Ross house and everything in between. We found it to be nice and quiet also even though in downtown. Would definitely recommend.

Never had been to Philly and wanted to be able to walk to things to see from our hotel. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and shared the history of the hotel with us. Our room was on the third floor (no elevator), was very clean and very quiet. We parked across the street in the convenient parking ramp. The hotel does give you a discount for the ramp, which was an added bonus. The breakfast provided was adequate for our needs in a very quiet, clean and friendly dining room. The concierge recommended Talula's Garden for dinner, which was around the corner, and he graciously called to get us in. We had a great meal! There was a lot within walking distance to this hotel to see and will stay here again if ever in Philly. Thanks for a memorable stay, Morris House Hotel!
