Service is straightforward and friendly, and the overall experience feels easy and low-drama — a solid basecamp rather than a destination hotel. If you want a high-end luxury stay, look elsewhere. But if you want a well-located, boutique hotel with personality that delivers strong value and doesn’t try too hard, Penn’s View Hotel is a smart pick.

This hotel was absolutely adorable! The whole ambiance have you a feel like you were back in the 1950s but in a good way! Rooms were extremely clean and even had a fireplace in the room which made it cozy and warm! Although we booked for the whole weekend, we were only able to stay one night due to a snow storm coming and we wanted to get back home before it started! We also at at the restaurant in the hotel and when I tell you the food was absolutely phenomenal!!! We will definitely be back in the future!

We had an AMAZING STAY here during MLK weekend. Our room had a gas fireplace and balcony. Downstairs is an Italian restaurant (Panorama) and a great bar with -124 wines on tap. Look them both up! We went for a night to watch an event at Xfinity (15 min Uber). We loved it so much that we booked an extra night. Special shout out to the staff (Antonio and Robert) that greeted us. They were VERY accommodating and looked out for us. Antonio hooked us up with a really special evening once he found out it was a birthday celebration. We HIGHLY recommend staying here. Cozy, comfortable room in a fun area. Lots of bars and restaurants. Thank you for a great weekend!

Everything was fantastic! The guys at the front desk were so helpful and accommodating! The breakfast was bare minimum but the muffins they had were very good! The lack of parking was an unexpected, $35 to park next door overnight. But other than that everything else was perfect. The customer service, comfort, quality, elegance, all on point.

The Penns View is the only place we stay when visiting Philly! The location is great sitting at the River overlooking the bridge to Penns Landing, with plenty to do within walking distance. The hotel has always been immaculately clean- with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries provided. When checking in we usually are welcomed by Manager Antonio who is very friendly and professional and makes us feel welcomed! The hotel offers a discount per stay to their fine dining restaurant and Wine Bar, Panorama. The restaurant has top notch homemade Italian cuisine as well as an entire wine wall of fines wines from around the world. They offer wine flights to try different wines . |I know management has been working hard to make improvements so there are two things I would like to mention which would change my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars:|1. Upgraded mattresses are very much needed.|2. It would be nice to have a full breakfast or fresh coffee shop available at the hotel restaurant.|Thank you Penns View for a beautiful Christmastime stay in Philly!!

I almost do not want to post a review for our stay here, since it's got to be one of our best-kept secret spots in Philly, but, I cannot stop raving about our impromptu stay at the Penns View Hotel. We had the opportunity to get away for the evening, and decided to pop down and check out this hotel. I am so glad that we did. The front desk check-in process was quick, and we were greeted warmly by the staff (they even told us a little ghost story!). When handed our keys, we were so in love with the nostalgic real keys and brass key tag (complete with engraved room number!). Getting into our room, we had a short run of steps to bring us to the main space-a loft space, complete with skylights, a perfect view of the Ben Franklin bridge, and the Delaware River. The room boasted some amazing exposed brick, and a spacious layout with clean amenities throughout. Linens and pillows were soft and comfortable, and the room was quiet, despite the hotel being completely booked. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the attached restaurant, Panorama, but know from past experience that the fare is top-notch, and the wine selection is unparalleled. Living in this amazing city, we've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit many of our "must-experience" hotels, and while there are some great places to stay and relax, THIS is the BEST place.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough! I had a fantastic experience here and the staff was so kind. The manager took effort to make me feel welcome and everyone I met was hospitable. The room was top-notch and now it will be hard for me to stay anywhere without a fireplace, ha! Also, the muffins are homemade from the bakery of the adjoining restaurant…like what? Definitely stay here if you’re coming to Philly! The location, views, price, staff, and overall experience can’t be beat.
