The Gables Bed and Breakfast Philadelphia

Beautiful B&B. The owners are amazing people. Breakfast was excellent! They went above and beyond to make our whole family of 12 very comfortable. Close to many attractions. Beautifully decorated. Historic and my children enjoyed it very much

Caesar went out of his way to make it a very pleasant stay and an additional bonus was the dogs which gave us a nice sense of being in a home and not a hotel room. Restaurants were within walking distance from the university so evening meals had a nice variety plus the neighborhood was nice to walk around.

We had the best time at the Gables Bed and Breakfast! Jeanette and Cesar were great hosts. Their attention to detail- from the decorations around the house to yummy breakfast- made our stay an experience we’ll never forget. It was great connecting with fellow guests of all ages (26-60+) at breakfast, a rare opportunity to interact with random people in this fast-paced, digital world. We also loved the close proximity to Clark Park where there’s a farmers market Saturday mornings. We’d highly recommend spending some time at the Gables B&B!

We spent the weekend at The Gables in August and loved it. It’s a beautifully restored Victorian home in a quaint Philadelphia neighborhood. The collection of period items that adorn the rooms and common areas are amazing. Steeping in the door is like stepping into the past. The food and hospitality were excellent as well. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing hospitality in a gorgeous Victorian mansion. I selected the South Room for my 14-year-old daughter and I. It is so beautifully decorated as is the rest of the home. Every room - including the common areas - is impeccably decorated with delightful antiques. The front covered porch is a place for rest and relaxation. The innkeepers made us feel like welcomed guests the moment we booked our reservation. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at home.

This quaint historical Victorian beauty is located in a quiet part of West Philadelphia near the universities. The SEPTA trolleys run on the street in front of the inn and will get you into the heart of Philadelphia center in approximately 15 minutes. ||The rooms are lovely with big comfortable beds, WiFi, and air conditioning. They also have off street parking. ||The hosts are wonderfully accommodating and have a close relationship with people in this vibrant community of early 1900s homes and tree lined streets. ||It is 1 block from Clark Park which has a farmer’s market every Saturday. ||This is my go to place when I visit my daughter who lives in the area.

I had a cancelation on a stay in Philly and, in my search to rebook a room for me and a friend, found The Gables. What drew me in: the images of this grand Victorian mansion, and the number of great reviews. I liked that there was parking - as well as breakfast - included with the reservation. The curved front porch, front yard, furnishings, bedroom comfort, cleanliness, sweet resident pups, and delicious breakfast were all five-star and I will stay here the next time I am in Philly. The hospitality, comfort, and conversation were wonderful.
