i’ve stayed here before and for multiple nights, never had an issue and the staff was wonderful. love the old school vibes and smoking rooms i’m very disappointed with this visit. soon after entering our first room there was back flow residue in the shower. they kindly switched us to another room with a tub. went to take a bath and black stuff came out of the faucet. huge bummer! couldn’t even smoke in the room due to the fire alarm going off as soon as a cigarette was lit. had to hang my half of my body out of the window. if it couldn’t get worse the ceiling was littered with black mold. My first visit was a dream, this time a nightmare. refused to give me a whole refund since i "stayed in the hotel" i literally had no where else to go that night (i got $10 back for the room and $10 back for the key deposit) pro tip: maybe ask to see your room before signing the papers <3

The Georgia is really 5 stars for what it is, but rating this place is like reviewing malt liquor. It's an old school walk up, possibly the last of its kind. Old, old, like the kind of lodging we had before the now dying motor lodges with big "color tv" signs --- and unlike those places, the Georgia has barely remodeled like ever. Mostly rents by the week, just $300, or $50 per night. That gets you a bath shared with at least 12 people, a small room with old repainted furniture and bare bulb lighting, no A/C and no Wi-Fi, no fridge and one communal microwave, just one outlet box, years of tobacco stank. It's right above Scandals night club, weekends will be loud. At least it's clean, like up to a chain standard. Can't say that about cheap no tell motor lodges! Plus, right in the heart of the Pearl. To be honest, this place is mostly for people who've crashed through their other options. I think it's the cheapest weekly room in town. If I make it sound terrible, well, this is no Super 8. But if you're up for it this place could be a memorable hostel alternative. Location can't be beat. Just bring your ear plugs, seriously.

So this is bare bare minimum no air conditioning most rooms don't have bath rooms n its very hard to rent one that does have a bathroom the people working the front desk want to be left alone specially the at night guys . This is where angry old yt guys go that have power issues . WHY IS THE HEATER BLOWING IN JUNE ON A HIGH 80 DEGREE DAY??? I spent one night n ran city is full of cheap options better then this .

More than likely stolen property by management I had a mental health emergency due to an legal substance I bought a store that was clearly not what it was advertised as . I calmly asked for guidance down the stairs. They went behind my back and checked me out than and there without communication or a notice. I had serval items in the room missing. Management originally said nothing was reported found. One of these items happen to be kind of awesome. Something you would tell you're co worker you found. Than likely it wouldnt of been brought up in conversation is unlikely. You would of told your co worker about it. Argo it was stolen by management. Management was the one to clean the room. Upon addressing my room once I had came back to check out another room they refused service and told me everything was tossed. My charger, hoodie , 20$ tooth paste and my martial arts tool for my dojo. They went from saying nothing was found to everything was tossed. (Without telling your co worker the other man I spoke with about the contents of the room really) I'm a common customer one of a only few and they stole my items, showed little compassion in a mental health crisis and refused service though it wasn't needed as a fool would. They also seemed prideful in refusing service which was kind of rude. The man who told me no was very proud to have told me no.

Price for the location makes this spot worth it. Rooms are a dive and there's a bar downstairs. Other clientele is working class to homeless. If this doesn't bother you, the price is right. Ask about weekly rates. No wifi! Rooms with no view and a shared bathroom are a bit cheaper than other similar hotels downtown.

Solo getaway into the city and pleasantly surprised by this quaint little hidden gem I had probably walked past many times before without noticing. The room was very large, clean, and the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better location for nightlife! Easy walk to transit or most places and hot spots in downtown Portland night life.

It was one of a kind because this is a superb way to get a good enough sleep。 Who knew one would look for something of this nature when I am wanted in my own bed that I felt it necessary to try it out. Sleep, I doubt, was the priority here, but none the less it accommodated well. Even though it broke yet another piece to fall away, perhaps I'll understand or shatter it.
