Bposhtels SLC

Friendly check in staff; I appreciated that she brought her dog to work! I hadn't stayed at a hostel for almost 7 years, and I expected a more noisy and run-down venue. I was so delighted to encounter this clean, well designed and friendly space. The bouldering gym was full of people, but we couldn't hear any noise in our sleep room. The rooftop bar was also well-stocked and had a nice atmosphere. Sleep room was clean, and the bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well designed. The only drawback was that the street in front of the hostel was under construction, so it was a bit tough to get to. This was not their fault

It was great to find a cheap hostel option close to downtown SLC. The rooms were shockingly extremely clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. It was definitely the cleanest nicest looking hostel I've ever stayed in. Sharing a room comes with challenges but no more than expected. Roommates were respectful and each bed had its own charger and locker. There was a bathroom in the room which was spotless but the addition of access to the locker room area/sauna was great. Didn't get the chance to use the bouldering gym/yoga classes but would totally do it if I was staying there in the future and had time. Things to improve upon: 1. Beds were squeaky every time someone moved but that is probably an easy fix with some WD-40 2. The bathroom within the room should be for daytime use only or switch the door to a normal door instead of a barn door. This meant the actual opening/closing of the door was very noisy and the bathroom was not soundproofed at all. I was woken up every time someone used the bathroom in the middle of the night just because of how loud the door was when opened

Absolutely loved this place and have no complaints on the staff or buildings and its amenities. A very cool place to stay. Staff is so friendly and helpful. My only complaint was about inconsiderate bunkmates with the overhead light and talking, but I still would do this 100x again, as that's just something you might deal with at a place like this.

One of the coolest hostels I’ve ever been to! It’s located right on top of a climbing gym and yoga studio where they give discounted access. Super clean and well maintained

This Hostel was alright. I like though there was a ski shop and a couple a stores like a Bike Store that makes this Hostel quite attracting. Close to Downtown Salt Lake and all the Landmarks. Rooms were okay beds were pretty comfortable. Lots of activities to do this Hostel

Great vibes and friendly staff. The facilities offered exceeded my expectations. Loved the music played throughout the facility, the sauna, and the free games offered to guests. There are Yoga classes also offered twice a day. 6:30am and 12:00 noon (that was a Tuesday).

First of all ‘Bposhtels’ is not actually part of EVO, you will figure this out when you see they have no signs outside nor inside the building. All they do is manage a few shared rooms, but are not involved in the facilities that would draw one to stay here (gym, skatepark, sauna, etc…), those are all to the credit of EVO and this review is not directed toward EVO at all. The ‘Bposhtels’ ads show photos of the facilities that EVO provides in this space giving one the impression that the room will be of a similar quality. This is not the case. The room shown in the photo is actually quite large but the beds are all crammed in a corner and you will have to sleep less than 3 feet away from the person next to you. To try and buffer that, they have stapled white cardboard to the beds, which provides no real privacy and the beds, lights and shelves themselves are flimsy and of poor quality giving the room an all around cheap feel. If this were a $20/night hostel I would get it, but they are charging more than double that. Upon reaching out to ‘Bposhtel’ to express my dissatisfaction and ask for some sort of consolation, I was met with a pretty rude and aggressive representative who stone walled me with their no refund policy (see attached screenshot). They also tried to pressure me into cancelling my reservation, I’m sure so they could turn it over and double their earnings. I think this demonstrates their take on hospitality- they do not actually care about your experience and just want your money. If there are two of you or more you will pay the same price to get a hotel room direct with EVO and I would strongly reccomend that or one of the many top rated air bnbs in Salt Lake. There are great hostels in the world and they can be cozy and fun, this is not one of them and this company is an absolute scam, avoid this place at all costs. PS I suspect ‘Bposhtels’ will respond to try and discredit this review, please see attached screenshot of the chat with their rep which says more than I ever could. Happy travels ✌️
