The Peery Salt Lake City Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

It isn't often that you stay in a hotel comparable to the Peery Salt Lake City Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Built in 1910, it describes itself as a hotel "like no other" and it is difficult to argue the point. Located at 110 West Broadway in the downtown area, steps from Temple Square, Salt Palace Convention Center and Rice-Eccles Stadium, it is a three-story Prairie style building that incorporates Classical Revival design elements with a collection of vintage-inspired and antique furnishings. It also features two signature restaurants, Christopher's Prime Steakhouse and Sonoma Grill & Wine Bar. Plus Eggsburgh Breakfast & Brunch. I booked a One King Room with king-sized bed, separate bathroom, 55-inch TV, LavAzza coffee/tea maker, complimentary high speed internet, granite-top work desk and iron/ironing board. The hotel also features such other amenities as concierge, public parking, 24-hour fitness center and free wi-fi.

We had an excellent experience at The Perry Hotel, thanks in large part to Brinlee, the front desk agent who assisted us throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, Brinlee was polite, welcoming, and incredibly dedicated. She handled every request with grace and efficiency, always showing a high level of professionalism and genuine care. Brinlee proved to be resourceful and proactive, finding solutions quickly and anticipating our needs before we even asked. Her calm, proper, and attentive manner made us feel truly valued as guests. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines professional excellence with such authentic kindness, and Brinlee absolutely elevated our experience at the hotel. We are very grateful for her assistance and highly commend her outstanding service.

Fast and easy check-in. Parking is in a lot right next door—very convenient. $25 overnight. Customary for downtown. Easily walkable to restaurants and live events. Rooms are charming and small as expected, given the age of the hotel. Like a European room. We loved the vintage feel. Convenient water refill on each floor. With the AC fan on, we could not hear the road noise at night. Slept well. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Will stay here again when attending events in SLC.

This place is awesome! Historic downtown building with spectacular interior. The beds are comfy and it's just plain awesome! You have to pay for parking. It's 25 dollars for 24 hrs right next door. That is really the only negative and honestly what do you expect it was built in 1910 quite a few years before everyone owned their own vehicle. Haha.

Haunted or not, this place is charming. I typically prefer a newer less star property over old, but this historic property is well maintained and pretty neat. I really enjoyed the location, helpfull staff, beding and adjoining breakfast restaurant. It’s a 4 out of 5 from me. The experience was lovely, though the lobby’s decaf deficit and the robe-less rooms added a touch of "unexpected minimalism" I wasn’t quite prepared for.

It was fun, the rooms comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful, the showers got, and 2 great places to eat attached to either end! The parking gets expensive because it's not part of the hotel so you have to pay, I feel, a crazy amount of $50. per day.
