California Dreams Hostel - Ocean Beach

Cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in!! Super friendly, well-stocked and organized. Lots of gear for rental. Staff is amazing and gracious and location couldn’t be better.

It was a house that they made it hostel with a lot of rooms. Everything was better in pictures and I just stayed 1 night because I couldn't get refund! No parking, Fake pool. you have to wash your dishes after breakfast. It was cheap but It doesn't worth it! Rooms were like prison!

I had a really good experience at this hostel and will definitely stay back again. I've been to many and it didn't compare to this one, staff is really friendly and willing to help. Rooms are comfortable and quiet area

Really spacious hostel, a couple of private bathrooms, free parking on the street, safe environment, clean rooms, and pleasant staff! Free breakfast is a great perk!

Really enjoyed my stay! Super friendly, great atmosphere, felt very welcome from the start. Staff were always open for a chat and willing to help. Everything felt well cared for and I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxed and positive vibe.

For what it was worth, it's worth coming back. First time ever staying in a hostel. Was nervous at first but started to unwind those jitters. Free breakfast in the AM and nice staff. Parking is available and free.

Th staff at this location is underwhelming and snobby. Pedro is loud and obnoxious on his game he plays on the computer in the common area. His taste in music sucks too. Most annoying is his stinky cooking. The smell fills the entire first floor into the P dormitory. Gross. Can’t sleep. The European girls on staff are so annoying and embarrassing. They took my charger off my phone that was on the table in common area. They lied and said they thought it belonged to staff. Why would my phone be using their charger. The lockers are to keep staff out of guest belongings. My first stay here in August, I heard one of the staff ask another if she found any goodies in lost n found. Just trashy. Yuck.
