Hamilton-Turner Inn

We recently stayed at the Hamilton-Turner and it was an amazing experience. The rooms were beautiful, the breakfast was amazing. (Shoutout to the chef making the grits) The port at the end of the night was a nice treat to come back to and each night had great conversation with other guest. Nathan, one of the concierge, was awesome. Great personality, offered great suggestions, and went out of his way multiple times to help us. Very nice guy. Highly recommend this hotel!

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. We had ice and water when needed and they were always kind with any questions. The location was also in a very good area, walkable to most places. The breakfast was very basic, we stayed three nights. The first breakfast was scrambled eggs, one very well done sausage patty and one pancake with fruit and buttercream icing. Second breakfast was scrambled eggs, half a croissant, two slices of bacon and a side of fruit. Third breakfast was scrambled eggs, one very well done sausage patty and one piece of French toast. It all tasted fine, but again very basic. The room was not good. The bed was VERY squeaky, you make the smallest movement to adjust your sleeping position and it’s squeaking and shaking the whole bed. The mattress was the worst we have ever slept in, we left with very achy backs, no support to the mattress at all. Upon arrival there were dead spiders on the bathroom floor that my husband had to discard. The shower door is broken and is VERY hard to slide open and closed. Overall I just felt that marketing as a "Luxury Bed & breakfast" was a bit misleading. Especially when your sleeping accommodations are very poor quality.

We booked the Hamilton Turner based on their Yelp reviews and were not disappointed. The location was perfect, the weather cooperated for a January weekend, and the rooms and service were top notch! The breakfasts were included each morning and were absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and informative when asked about restaurants and things to do in the area! We will book again on our next trip to Savannah.

The mansion is beautiful and centrally located in the historic district of the city. It has been impeccably maintained and updated. It is a charming, romantic place to stay and the staff and service is excellent and better than they even claim it to be. I highly recommend it. It is quiet , timeless, and a memorable experience. Many great restaurants near by. Within walking distance Of great book stores, the art school, and the Gryphon Tea house (their high tea is amazing for the US). The beautiful catholic cathedral is in the same block and the sonorous bells right delightfully.

We stayed here for our babymoon, it was beyond beautiful, and the woman at the front was incredibly kind, knowlesagble and just went above and beyond for customer service. I love that there was complimentary wine even though I couldn't enjoy it yet! Already planning to come back. It's a perfect location, perfect setting, just an incredibly beautiful hotel. - the graingers

Hamilton-Turner was a gem! The staff were friendly and engaging. The room was beautiful, it was large with two beds, and a sitting area. We loved having morning coffee, afternoon tea and evening port in the parlor. It was nice to chat with other guests! The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The location was within walking distance to everything, we parked the car the day we arrived and didn't see it again until we left-3 days later.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly, helpful people. We didn’t know where to park, so Tre walked outside, down to the corner and found a place that did not have a meter so that we wouldn’t need to put money in at 8:00 AM. Next, we were met by Nathan. He told us about the wonderful amenities: 5-6 PM wine with very good quality and tasty hors d'oeuvres in the dining room, then 8-10 PM delicious port and cookies in the living room, and a full breakfast from 7:30-10:30 AM in the morning in the dining room. Everywhere there were sweet chocolate treats for the taking too. |Everyone was very attentive to my gluten intolerance dietary issue and made me feel very comfortable. |Every image on the site is exactly what you get. It’s a beautiful place with beautiful, sincerely nice people, in a beautiful historic neighborhood and walking distance to many great restaurants. |Plus, we had an incredibly fun time talking and getting to know 3 of the other nice guests while enjoying our port and cookies in the gorgeous sitting room. It was Old fashion socialization at its finest. Such a treat not found in hotel environments.|Our room was lovely. All the linens were luxurious, the shower was modern, attractive and spacious. The room was clean, bright and nicely appointed.||I hate to bring this up since everything g else was so wonderful…the only negative issue was the mattress was not good - way too soft. My husband and I ended up rolling into the center and waking each other up all night long. We’re not very big people either and sleep in a queen-sized bed at home. |So, that was not fun. It was in the Julie Scarborough room 503 in the carriage house.
