Stayed here from 1/14-1-/16/26. Not a bad stay overall. The layout of the hotel is kinda funky as it circles the courtyard. If you self park there really is not convenient way to get to and from you vehicle. The rooms were dated as well. For the cost per night I was really hoping for more of an upscale feel. It was a decent stay. It is very close to everything ASU! I was able sagely to walk around the area and take in some sightseeing.

Perfect location if you want to hangout in tempe for an event or just want to party for the night. We stayed here a couple times its pretty much in the heart of downtown tempe. They got a nice bar and areas to sit around in at the hotel. The food is good the staff is good room service was great.

Very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable staff. The two front desk guys working the evening of Feb. 13th especially were extremely helpful. I was staying here for a friend's wedding and the staff were helpful with things like when I needed to borrow scissors to trim a loose string on one of the other guest's dresses, and when I needed a bottle opener for the groom even when it was late at night.

Compared to other Hyatt properties in the area, Tempe Mission Palms sticks out as a hotel that is both uniquely tuned to the area and boasts a lot of character. In a way, it really is a destination hotel apart from its formal sub-brand designation. The guestrooms are from an older design era but still clean, mostly unmarred, and generous on square footage. The pool deck is well-outfitted with a large pool flanked by two hot tubs on opposite sides, open-seated cabanas, and a patio area surrounding a fireplace. I really enjoyed walking through and spending time in the courtyard since it seemed to insulate from most of the air traffic noise and constantly smelled of fragrant (but inedibly sour) oranges that grew on trees next to towering interior palms. Most notably, the service here reflects the warmth of the southwest. The front desk is knowledgeable on good eats and attractions in and around Tempe, restaurant staff is welcoming and prompt, and both housekeeping and security manage to be social while not skipping a beat. Both Jamie and Michael are upstanding gentlemen and shining representatives of the hotel; we're grateful for their service and stewardship during our stay.

The service, location, and amenities such as Harry’s Place restaurant are great. The size of the room is average. The Juliet balcony in a standard room was a nice little surprise for enjoying the afternoon air. The bed was very comfortable. However, the hotel is in need of a refresh inside. The old TV in my room did not work and the furniture was very worn.

Beautiful, clean hotel. Attended a 4 day conference/reunion & enjoyed every moment. Free airport shuttle. Appreciated the robe, slippers, eye mask, ear plugs & toiletries in the bedroom/bathroom and spacious living room in our suite. Lots of room to spread out. I stayed an extra night in a standard room & liked having a couch, chair & cocktail table + desk/chair so still room to move around. Swimming pool & 2 hot tubs w/rooftop bar/restaurant were fabulous & a great place for morning swim & self care + our nighttime DJ pool/dance party! mountain climbing entrance was steps behind the hotel and just the right combo of fun, history & challenge on the way up to experience a view of the area from the top (bring a water bottle). We could see Phoenix, the airport & surrounding larger mountains. This was one of my favorite things outside of the hotel room In Addition to the beautifully landscaped outdoor hotel courtyard (& private event snack shack!) I’d stay here again, lots to do & Mill street stores & restaurants. although Tempe public transit & restaurant visits provided less than welcoming experiences for brown folks.

I stayed here for two nights and have some thoughts. First, Hyatt has categorized this hotel as a Category 3. Having stayed at multiple Hyatt hotels, I disagree wholeheartedly. In my opinion, it should be a Category 2 at most. I am interested to see their rating criteria and whether or not location plays a big role in determining that category. I will say, it is in a good location. To be completely honest, this stay represented the bare minimum of what I would tolerate at a hotel. The entire hallway had a musty scent, which unfortunately also permeated the rooms. I don’t know if it's dust or something else, but it was reminiscent of cigarettes. The rooms and bathrooms are starting to feel a bit dated, especially in comparison to other Category 3 Hyatts. There is free valet parking. However, one person in particular (who typically works the later part of the day) was quite rude to the point of ruining the experience. Is the hotel terrible by any means? No. But it barely meets the bare minimum. I didn’t get a chance to go to the pool, but I wasn't that eager to, to be quite honest. On a positive note, the lobby is pretty.
