The hotel was average and a little disappointed for my anniversary. I paid for breakfast and wasn’t told the Christmas Eve breakfast was reservations only. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and the breakfast they offered was not up to par from what I was offered the day prior. The receptionist lady tried to solve the issue and was very nice but the issue wasn’t solved.

We booked a 4 night stay Feb 13th-16th. It was quite disappointing. The room sofa had stains & there was hair on the floor in front of the shower. The room heat was not working properly. The thermostat showed 65 degrees. We called Guest Services who did not pick up after 30 rings. We then called from outside number & call was picked up quickly. Maintenance staff came quickly as well & advised they knew of the problem & it had been corrected with heat to come within 30 minutes. Heat never came. We slept with our overcoats covering. We were not offered to move to another room. In the am thermostat showed 62 degrees. We checked out & canceled the remaining days. Front desks staff was kind, offered apologies & credited the stay. We moved to Crown Pointe Hotel & received excellent & warm services.

Beautiful property with university setting. Spacious rooms, some with fireplaces. This is a Hilton property and thus, must be competitive.|Best experience I've ever had at any price. On-site restaurant is finest ever. |A Norfolk-Virginia Beach jewel. We are looking for an excuse to return, just to enjoy another great experience.

My wife recently stayed here and used there parking for her car and shuttle back and forth to the cruise port. They provided excellent customer support. I personally worked with them multiple times as her cruise return got changed due to weather. I called and personally talked with them multiple times. Then she later ended up staying on the ship for the next cruise. They graciously worked with us on all the changes. We definitely recommend them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was hands-down the best hotel experience we’ve had in Virginia Beach. My husband and I stayed February 14–20 at Founders Inn and Spa, originally planning just a two-day Valentine’s getaway — and it turned into one of the most exceptional stays we’ve had in years. From check-in to check-out, every single staff member was friendly, professional, and genuinely accommodating. We stayed in a King room in the Jamestown Lodge, and housekeeping checked in daily with incredible attentiveness. Even the smallest request was met with, "We’ll take care of that for you." I truly felt cared for. Room service the first night — shrimp scampi, wings (so good!), Brussels sprouts, and salad — was fresh and absolutely delicious. The daily breakfast buffet at Swan Terrace was a highlight. The omelet station staff were personable, and most of the week we had the same waitress who remembered exactly how we liked our table arranged. She had it set up before we even asked. That level of attention is rare. I also noticed the kitchen staff washing their hands before cooking each time — professionalism matters. Jeanette at the front desk followed up on every question I had without my needing to ask. The spa can book quickly, but the team found two express treatments at the same time for my husband and me, even though they were otherwise full. The spa receptionists were warm and accommodating, and the massage technicians were excellent. I travel often and stay in many hotels. I have not received this caliber of service in years — and never to this degree in Hampton Roads. This is truly a five-star, business-friendly hotel with spa-level relaxation. The only small things I would note are the WiFi and the lack of a microwave in the room. The internet connection wasn’t just spotty — there were times with no service, very slow speeds, breaks in connectivity, and a few dead zones, which can be challenging if you’re working remotely. And for longer stays, having a microwave would be helpful for reheating leftovers or grabbing something quick between restaurant hours. Neither took away from our overall experience, but those two additions would make it absolutely flawless. We will absolutely be back as my business expands in the area. I may not remember every name, but I will always remember the warmth and welcome your team made us feel. Highly recommend.

This hotel is an absolute let down. They upcharge for rooms that are out of order. Our tv in our room did not work the entire time we stayed here and the hotel did nothing. The brunch is absolutely disgusting and the service is abysmal. And the worst part is our hotel room was wide open when we got there the door was just wide open not locked or anything. The hotel did not off any apologizes or solutions for these issues and still charged us full price. We will never stay here again and will encourage everyone not to as well.|Edit:|Almost 1 year later we tried this hotel again. And again they are a huge failure.|The toilet was stopped up when we got there and by my 2nd morning there was still not operational. I am having to use convenient store restrooms. And even a cheap motel delivers extra towels to your room upon request but this hotel apparently delivering towels to rooms is beneath there snooty employees. The in room coffee machine doesnt work. This hotel is a "Tapestry" which is supposed to be exceptional service however this hotel reminds me of lipstick on a pig. It may look nice but its still crappy. I saw on another review management replied they have some of the highest hilton reviews which is laughable cause a 4.1 on google is awful for hilton standards.|Ive seriously gotten warmer customer service and overall better service period at a Motel 6.|Literally ALL the issues ive listed for 2 years and 90% of all the negative reviews they have are completely preventable if the hotel staff did there jobs correctly and up to Hilton standards. Literally none of the complaints are beyond there control or acts of god its all POOR employees who are lead by POOR management.|How this hotel doesnt fail there Hilton QA standard inspection is beyond me.|But i can guarantee you there will not be a 3rd year trying with this place.

Awful. Our room reeked of marijuana. We told the staff and asked to be moved. They said they were sold out besides two rooms with a single queen bed in another building. We decided to downgrade from our king bed room to get away from the smell. The new room is not much better. The AC/heat is so loud we can’t even sleep with it on which is miserable. My boss was in a separate room and he had issues as well. His sheets were disgusting so he called to get them replaced, when he returned to his room, there were sheets folded up sitting on the end of the bed on top of the dirty sheets. He has to remove the dirty sheets and make his bed with "clean" sheets that were sitting on the used sheets. Also, his refrigerator did not work but they did replace it. The floors throughout the entire hotel are disgusting and look like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. It is unacceptable that three of three rooms we’ve been in have all been disgusting. It’s concerning that the cleaning staff found these rooms this way and marked them as guest ready. The man that I spoke with after entering the marijuana room did not care one bit and suggested since they didn’t have anymore king bed rooms that we should stay with the room we were given. He didn’t offer to reduce our rate when downgrading either and was not apologetic whatsoever. We do not recommend anyone stay here unless you just don’t care about cleanliness. We will not be staying here again, I do not even feel comfortable or safe staying here tonight. It’s creepy and dark, parking lot has hardly any lights. On top of all of that, there is a possum that apparently lives right outside the building door that runs away when you come out. This is NOT the Hilton we know. We have exclusively stayed at Hilton hotels for years. This place sounds lovely and from the outside looks impressive but it is not at all.
