Frazier's Tavern

If you're looking for a chill spot to catch a game or shoot some pool, this Frazier's is pretty high on the list. Sundays the tables are free so it can get busy. But it's always a great time. It was my regular spot when I lived on that side of town.

I love this neighborhood bar - it’s a staple for us. Unfortunately, there was a new bartender tonight who decided his ego was bigger than the patrons. Maybe he had a bad day and was "following the rules," but we are all adults. We would have loved to buy drinks from him and tip him well, but he wanted to have a moment. Bummer, because this neighborhood bar isn’t about a moment - it’s usually about a night and an experience. He made it about him. Shame shame. Hope someone else is at the bar next time around. Visiting from oregon - already had a membership and the bartender "jake" checked my ID again - snapped my actual real ID in half. Argued with him about compensating it - as I’m on the other side of the country without an ID, he said to talk to the manager that gets in at 2:30 the next day. We go the next day - turns out the manager is "out" for the next week. Extremely annoying and absolutely zero help.

This place really sucks. My dad was called a homophobe without reason and this was a fabricated story. Litterally was standing feet away. Someone started shit inside this bar and wasnt kicked because they were a regular and manipulated their way. Not only is this place lined with your grandmothers carpet but the atmosphere and people suck if you wanna see what asheville is all about i highly recommend checking out another pool hall with better people better bartenders better tables and a hell of alot better atmosphere. This was extremely disappointing. Wont be back and i really think everyone should know just how bad this place sucks. It is no wonder this place is seated far away from ashevilles center. And i advise anyone to stay away

Pool players have no sense of urgency or respect for who is waiting to.play Treat table at this bars if it's there own house .
