I recently visited West Elm, and I couldn’t be more impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were knowledgeable without being pushy. The showroom was beautifully organized, showcasing a wide variety of styles — from modern to classic — and everything looked high-quality and thoughtfully arranged. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail and the genuine care they showed in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. They patiently answered all my questions and even offered great suggestions based on the look I wanted to achieve in my home. The delivery was fast, and my new furniture arrived in perfect condition. Everything about my experience was smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend West Elmto anyone looking for stylish, durable furniture and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be back for my next home project!
Wonderful location and inventory. Most of the staffs are also very nice and helpful. Since November 2025 to the time of this review, we frequently visited this location for our current remodeling project. Unfortunately, there is this one employee - an older women with glasses, who always scolded my son for everything a kid would do, including but not limited to: sitting on the ground while touching and reading the price tag, swiveling on the swivel chair, and using one of their computers. She did this to my son for every single visit since November. The same woman. Today, on March 8th around 5pm, we were working with one associate who had been so kindly helping us picking swatches and colors, almost ready to place an order with her for some furnitures because she said the showroom will get credit if we do so (and we are more than happy to do that), when this woman scolded my son for the 2nd time today alone. We just left right away, with almost $4700 in our cart that we never got to order at this store.
I had a really disappointing experience with the West Elm Bellevue store. We purchased a couch in-store in anticipation of an upcoming move. Shortly after the purchase, our move was unexpectedly canceled, and we reached out right away to cancel the order while it was still processing. Unfortunately, we were told the item could not be canceled due to a made-to-order policy that was never disclosed during the in-store sales process. The most frustrating part was the lack of transparency and flexibility. The no-cancellation policy was not verbally explained at the time of purchase, and nothing on the receipt or immediate order confirmation made this clear. When we tried to contact customer service through chat, we repeatedly received messages that agents were unavailable, and phone support ultimately offered no solutions other than suggesting we resell the item ourselves. A little flexibility or even partial accommodation would have gone a long way.
Rubie and the team at West Elm/Williams Sonoma are hands down some of the best customer experience professionals I’ve ever dealt with. We ordered 3 couches and a bed, and the bed arrived completely wrong - incorrect color and size. I was bummed because we were rebuilding our home after a natural disaster, and finally moving back in after over half a year away, and I couldn’t stomach the thought of sleeping on a mattress on the floor while waiting for a new bed. Rubie showed sympathy and compassion by helping me navigate the situation. She advocated to WS to leave the incorrect bed in the interim so we had something to sleep on. This small act made all the difference in the world to us. The new bed was just delivered (and incorrect bed picked up) and I couldn’t be happier. I am beyond grateful to the teams at WE and WS for their amazing support - they truly care about their customers. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our difficult time, a little less difficult.
Very nice, beautiful store. It smelled really good and was very well organized. The staff was nice and didn’t stalk all the time. We found some nice objects for decorating. The price is medium to high. I hope the quality is the same. The parking is a little difficult on the street almost always full.
I'm always on the fence about their customer service whenever I come here. I've met some very helpful staff members, while others were aloof and inattentive. 4/5 stars because I like their furniture.
It’s been 5 months and the chairs we paid for is still backlogged! At the store they promised us it would be delivered by the end of the month. Went back to the store and all the manager could say is "they can’t do anything about it"
