I don't think I've ever written a review before, but I felt I had to tonight. My best friend/roommate goes in regularly and has so far recieved good and friendly service. However, he brought me home a po boy sandwich that I could not eat. The bread was delicious, the lettuce was crisp, and the pickles were awesome- but I COULD NOT chew the cod. I took a bite and it was so tough that I had to pull it out of my mouth. I didn't want to give up (maybe it was just one tough spot?) So I tried pulling it apart with my fingers and COULDN'T! I am not a picky eater, and I don't expect a lot from a bar, but it was inedible. I felt like I needed to say something. The fries were good though.
Don't eat here. Unless you're equipped with an iron will and a gut to match. Had a hankering for fish and chips. My night ended with deep regret, followed lavatory Niagara moments. Staff is awesome environment so-so, don't eat the food.
Chill tavern on the south side. Large seating area indoor and outdoor. Pool, lottery and video games available. Service was excellent from the bartender Mykey. Large menu with daily specials.
Great dive bar vibes. I ordered the chicken cascadia, very delicious. It will get busy at night but I usually go during the day on my day off for happy hour or lunch. Great food and friendly staff. Great patio. Last note awesome art on the back the building, shows they want to have a good sense of building community for the better!! Thank you Flying squirrel crew and staff!!
Nice little Tavern on the south side of Eugene. Friendly bartenders, and smiling faces. Food is okay, typically bar grill. Pinball machines, pool table, darts and lottery games to keep ya busy while you get drunk. Good place to go to forget about life. They have live music from time to time, but not very often. Outdoor seating. Good place to watch the game and talk about the Ducks!
I haven't lived in Eugene for years. Leaving this post to say I have tried 1000 club sandwiches since, and NOT ONE even comes close to the squirrel's. Way better than cheesecake factory's club. Good work
Great place to go for a game. I haven't tried the food if I always enjoyed the red wine, or beer
