I started shopping at DAV 50yrs ago. They got me through really hard times with school clothes for my 2 sons & Christmas from Santa, clothes for myself...still do today !! Blue jeans for $3 - $4 on weekends. I've bought lots of furniture also. Still shop there ALL the time. Love new owners & staff
This place is wonderful. I shop here all the time. Great items. Great prices. Friendly Staff. You can find the coolest stuff here! I highly recommend this store!
Prices are completely ridiculous. Broken/barely usable furniture, clothing, or other household items priced like they’re brand new.
Some of the stuff found here: furniture, kids playground plastic toys, blades and brackets for fans, doors, antique baby carriages and rocking horses, plumbing and electrical odds and ends, wheelchair and walker, grandfather clocks, hardrives, big screen TVs, card tables, small pet carriers, vintage books, bowling balls. A great afternoon, dressing rooms and bargain bins. Men's section too.
The folks I ran into working here are very kind and helpful, and my rating of this store is only about the OUT OF THIS WORLD PRICES, with no air conditioning fans pushing around the heat. So there is one example of this high pricing I will bring to light in this review, there was a stainless steel coffee press I saw marked 69.99 yes folks about 70 dollars I could not believe this "in a unairconditioned store" to top it off, I looked on Amazon the same item at the highest price was 39.99 NEW NOT USED. There are NO deals to be had here, unless the person that prices this stuff or whoever marks this junk comes back to reality. this is only one example the entire store is priced way to high and I know this because i shop at all of the thrift stores in Dallas area. And in future not at this one anymore
Wow! So FUN! Everything had a discount, and there were so many little sections of different items. I'm a teacher, and I got bulletin board and classroom items, dog toys, fridge organizers and more. Today I went to 4 thrift stores in Irving, and this was the most fun!
I could see there are some redeeming qualities. Pros: clothing seems sorted well and fairly priced. Furniture seems about 60% usable. The stuff that’s usable is priced fairly. Cons: outdated electronics that aren’t worth pennies. Random completely useless clutter that should be scrapped and reconstituted. If your decor requires the cashier to announce every fifteen minutes that it isn’t for sale, your decor is pointless.
