While the food quality, particularly the pizza, is generally praised, there can be inconsistencies in preparation and order fulfillment. The staff's efficiency and organization may not always meet expectations, leading to some frustration among customers.

However, there are also notable instances of exceptional service, particularly from the management team. The store has been recognized for its customer-focused approach, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a positive shopping experience, especially for families.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointed with Service I recently visited the Sam’s Club in Irving, and unfortunately, it was the worst service I’ve ever had there. I still like their pizza — it’s usually really good — but this experience was just bad. I ordered a Meat Lovers and a Pepperoni pizza for pickup, and neither of them were cut. They were literally whole pizzas. When I tried to take a piece off the Meat Lovers, it started falling apart, and it was also lacking flavor. The Pepperoni pizza was still pretty good, but it was also not cut, which made it frustrating to eat. When I went to pick up my order, I showed the employee my online order and even a picture of it, but she just stood at the tablet for about 10 minutes trying to find it. It was very frustrating and unorganized. I’m sorry to give this such a bad review because I normally enjoy Sam’s Club food, but this visit was truly disappointing.

Above-and-Beyond Service from Manager Da’mon at Sam’s Club! I’ve shopped at a lot of Sam’s Clubs, but Manager Da’mon in Irving set a whole new standard for customer service. We were buying a large product that needed extra coordination, and he personally stepped in to make sure everything went smoothly, from locating the item to helping us check out. What really stood out was his kindness and professionalism. He noticed our little boy waiting patiently and surprised him with an Icee, which absolutely made his day! That small gesture turned an ordinary shopping trip into a memory we’ll never forget. It’s rare to find a manager who genuinely cares about both the customer and the experience. Da’mon represents what every retail leader should strive for — helpful, personable, and committed to doing things right. Highly recommend this Sam’s Club location thanks to him!

Liked this Sam’s club - wide and lots of inventory. It’s far better than the Plano club. The inventory is good and provides a unique shopping experience to customers. The checkout kiosks are well maintained and faster. Staff is helpful and ample parking outside. There’s a gas station which provides lowest priced gasoline to its members.

I want to recognize John for providing outstanding customer support. I didn’t get a chance to thank him personally, but his help truly made a difference. Aaron was also absolutely superb. I had the best service during my visit to the Irving Sam’s store—thank you both for making my day!

Worst experience ever at a Sam’s Club. I don’t normally come to the Sam’s at this location I did today it was awful. The cashier could not figure out how to ring up an item that was marked down then I was charged wrong and she just stood their did nothing to check this was after some one came to tell her how to do her job then she lied about why I was charged so much more. She just looked at me didn’t call anyone to help didn’t try to figure out where the issue was nothing. Just awful service. Over 44 dollars she can’t look and see what the issue is and absolutely nothing to resolve it.

Communication during a brief power outage was terrible. Employee politely asked us to wait in cars for 30 to 40 min. It's been that long, and doors still closed and now nobody is communicating. A simple sign on the door like "be open again at 7" would be great. No such luck. Pretty sure there's a Sharpie and paper in there. And if they are closed for the night, they should say that. Management needs some training. They even have a voice message that they are closed for 30 minutes, but no starting or end time. People just walking up and then back to cars. It is 6:35 on 7/29/25. Don't come here tonight.

UPDATED 10/1/2025 Restrooms aren't usually in my reviews. And restrooms in busy stores aren't anything to rave about. But I have to acknowledge the cleanliness of the men's bathroom on Saturday. What's the name of the gentleman rushing around while we didn't dare venture past the closed sign until he moved it aside? He replied "Benny." He was surprised anybody cared to know. He shouldn't be. I thanked him for cleaning, noting busy stores aren't the easiest places to clean. Benny shyly nodded knowingly, demonstrating both humility and pride in his work. UPDATED 7/26/2025 Customer service took on new meaning today. Two of Sam's team members saved my life today, preventing my suffering from a health-related fall. I know them only as Danny and Tra. These two muscular employees came to my aid in seconds, caught me as I was crumpling to the ground, got me back up, and ensured I was okay. And I was so thankful to them. In fact, Danny talked to me about sports, turning the panic look on my face into a smile. And Tra ensured 911 was called. They couldn't have been better, moving just about as fast as Tom Cruise in the "Mission Impossible" movies. A third person brought me a bottle of water, ensuring my needs were met as EMTs came to check me out. He, too, was a blessing. As the normal color returned to my cheeks, I wanted to be sure the store would recognize Danny and Tra for their help, so I asked him how to make that happen. He said he would. "Great, but who are you?" I asked. "Mike," he responded. "And what do you do?" I asked. He responded "I'm the store manager. We're happy we've been able to help." And Mike stayed to the end, spending time with me while I got my bearings, ensuring I could safely return to my car. Updated 4/6/2025 Busy Saturday. Lots of stocking up given concerns about possible price increases due to tariffs. The parking lot was so full in the afternoon that cars were parked all the way back to the gas station section. Despite the crowds, the lines weren't long. Partly because of the Sam's app that allows customers to scan barcode and check out quickly by the exit door. We received five dollars off the bill on the app when walking in and promised the same if we stopped by the pharmacy, which we did. Unfortunately, the system failed to register the second five dollars off, which was disappointing. However, Michael in Optical fixed the problem, so we received what the store had promised. And Stephanie in the pharmacy has always been helpful. Both Stephanie and Michael are valuable team members. Updated 10/3/2024 Noticed that this Sam's seemed busier than usual Tuesday evening, likely because of possible shortages due to the longshoremen's strike. You'll see one of my photos showing an empty section of paper towels. Even so, according to news reports many retailers were stocking up to be prepared for the strike. Updated 6/17/2024 Great prices and wide selection. I've been a member since 1990 when the Sam's on Northwest Highway in Irving was open. Now we visit the Sam's in Las Colinas. Look for the fresh orange juice. It's been tasty every time and cheaper than at other markets. Get there early on weekends as the place fills up quickly. And check out the low gasoline prices, where lines of car often form three cars deep at busiest times. One of the advantages of Sam's Club is the speedy checkout. If you download the free app, you just scan the items in your cart, then head to the exit where a team member scans your app and a couple of your items, and sends you on your way. Many employees have great attitudes. Kai, who squeezes wonderful, fresh OJ, says hello to us, remembering our names. Stephanie in the pharmacy has impressed us for years here and at her previous employer Walgreens. Both are great hires. And even if you're not a student of marketing, how can you resist packaging that cries out "You Need This," which you'll see in one of my photos.
