The wait staff was excellent, the Bánh mì was good as well. The hard kombucha was flat and watered down. I’ve had Dal Tadka, Chana Dal, Masoor Dal, never had a Dal recipe that was a mix of lentil and kidney beans?

My brother and I walked into MRK Public and were blown away from the start. The daily soup was a scratch-made jalapeño corn chowder topped with fresh cilantro, cotija cheese, and long, crispy house-made tortilla strips. The flavor was incredible—creamy with just the right amount of heat, subtle yet right up front. Then came the short rib sandwich—DIVINE. The meat was juicy, shredded, and tender, layered with banana peppers, crisp lettuce, horseradish crème, and served on the most amazing toasted baguette with a bubble-crusted finish. Every bite was perfection. The fries? Gorgeous—stacked high and garnished with care. And the ambiance sealed it all in: a perfect surf-city vibe, fresh and upscale, yet still with the warmth of a weekly neighborhood spot. This is a meal and a place I will not forget.

One word, amazing! How have I not been here sooner? Epic gastropub. The Thai salad was a hefty portion filled with deliciousness. The bahn mi sandwich incredible with a smoked flavor on vegetables. I added tofu and fries on side. So good. Cody, our waiter was great, chill and pleasant. Chef Rynes creations are phenomenal. Will be back for sure! Cool variety music in background, homemade succulent vases on each table and succulent wall. Indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend! .

MRK is a hidden gem. If you are lucky enough to be there while they have the pastrami on the menu, you must try it. It is only offered for limited times so make sure to call ahead to find out the next time it is available. If you miss out on the pastrami, no worries they have a vast menu that is spectacular. The wings are a MUST plus the BahnMi sandwich.

Incredible meal, great casual stop. Our normally somewhat pickey kids loved the chicken sandwich and chili fries. Both desserts were amazing! Service was top notch, can't recommend enough!

Wow!! These reviews don’t lie. The most flavorful and unique food in town. Our server Jessie went above and beyond to give us an exceptional service. Chef Rayne knows how to leave you feeling perfectly satisfied. No wonder this place is a local gem.

You will not find better service, or more love in the preparation and quality of food. We started with the soup, some mussels, and some amazing brussels sprouts. The sauce for the mussels was a second soup. The sprouts were crunchy and perfect. We found a great wine, and after sampling several craft beers on tap, a great dark beer. We spent an hour on appetizers and were too filled to have an entrée. But, we had room to split a great desert.
